Tough case to recommend these days with the GPUs getting thicker and the itx market growing more competitive. Especially when the FormD t1 and meshilicious exist and the ncase m1 is getting a successor - yes these are a bit larger but they are not so painfully restricted by hardware compatibility.

      meshilicious

Also using the SSUPD Meshilicious myself, great case and easy to build in. Only gripe would be that you need a right-angle HDMI/DP or 3D prints some legs.

SSUPD also released a revised version (slightly bigger) call the Meshroom S.

Agreed this 2-slot GPU case is going to be tough to put new components in, but for people interested in DAN A4 case but worried about compatibility an easy step up is the Lian Li x DAN Case collaboration, https://www.pccasegear.com/products/57193/lian-li-x-dan-caseā€¦

$1 cheaper than this deal as its regular price, but no free shipping. It's slightly larger sitting at 11 litres vs 7.5 for DAN-A4, but still smaller than SSUPD Meshlicious & Ncase M1.

Looks like Optimum Tech really cornered the market with his reviews. Surprising to see it posted to the PCCG site.

    • Idk I use the SM550, a case not much larger than this, and have no issues with my current setup nor a higher end setup, at the end of the day every pc build involves compromise, people are just used to it being size and having a large atx case

  • Wow great price since these never go on sale. There a lot of restriction especially with gpu and heat but I love it. Only size of shoe box and portable.

While looking at SFF for portability rather than just space saving, I found that size was less of a factor when compared to ease of transport.

Having built with the NZXT H1, SSUPD and NR200; I realised that the NR200 pipped the other two in terms of how easier it was to handle, despite being the largest by volume. It was lighter, sturdier and had better port access.

    • the reason it is lighter is simply it is uses thinner material. it is a con not a pro.

      • As long as the quality is decent, I'd happily sacrifice a bit of thickness to keep the weight down. The NR200 is decently constructed for the price - it's a great all-rounder and hard to pass by

The one I received was locked down and I could only use it for 1 hour a day.

Stop complaining. What if you spread the computer virus to my grandma and killed her? Police with rubber bullets should be sent your way for complaining.

  • Ran a overclocked 3950x and 2080ti in here - quite a good case. Very easy to build all air, but aio is quite a bit more difficult to manage.

Take a look at the Asetek 645LT and Losercard mod for better CPU cooling.

I managed to end up being able to cool 160-170w, and clocked the 3950x to stock 5950x levels (10k cinebench r20) before hitting thermal throttle for 30min sustained load.

Same story with the 2080ti, deshrouded it and got it up to 16k Time Spy, just around a 3080 xc3 in performance. All noctua 92mms, not paticularly loud either.

Back around the GTX 1080 Ti Zotac days this was one of the go to cases. I remember this being on the YouTube circuit everywhere.

    Great case for that era.

But yeah I think things have changed now.

    • Yep. I was in the original Kickstarter (or was it Indiegogo, can't remember). Still got the 1080 in it. Running daily. Good enuff for me.

      • 1080ti running strong. good days..

  • This case is named after Alan Patridge
