  • Legends!

    • my westpac app says i have no rewards or offers to display :/ it's bare

  • +3

wonder if there is actually anything worth getting on there though

    • +6

Tbh, they've all jacked up the prices with additional service fees.

  • +1

which card work? Tried my CBA Ultimate , not eligible

    • My CBA Ultimate didn't work either but my standard white CBA debit card did.

  • +2

Did not work for me. Have CBA Diamond Awards.

    • +1

Did not work for my CBA diamond too but got 6 months using the CBA debit

    • Didn't work for me either why they exclude it

  • whats the catch for Deliveroo plus?

  • -1

I believe that this deal works only with Platinum Credit or Platinum Debit cards

  • +4

Got 6 months free on a Commbank Debit mastercard… can't complain!

    • Mine doesn't work. Do you have to have any balance for verification?

      • +1

Don't know if you need to have any balance in it but the one I used has money in it.

  • +1

Strange - was going to say that was a duplicate too - but it worked for me, and the previous CBA + non-CBA didn't!

  • +1

thanks worked for me, the others didn't. not using a platinum credit/debit card

  • +2

The link just says to go to the mastercard page and check eligibility? You don't bypass anything that I can see.

edit: Weird, read above posts so tried myself and yep sure enough it worked too, go 6 months, thanks OP!

  • Didn't work with my CBA Platinum but did work with my Westpac Black
    Choo hoo

  • Westpac Black Card - 12 Months

  • +1

I was uneligible for the previous deals. But it worked this time with up bank.

  • +4

Got 12 months using my Macquaire debit card.

  • -1

Why is the OzB banner and page numbers a poo brown colour today?

    • +3

      Are Poo Ok?

    • -2

Where is everyone seeing this poo brown? I see just.. yellow

    • +1
      • -2

Aah ok….still doesnt explain why they chose brown instead of yellow.

        • +5

Either your device has poor colour accuracy, is poorly calibrated, or you have some kind of colour blindness.

          • @psyren89: Neither. I've checked this on 2 different laptops and my phone. I can see yellow app icons in my task bar on my computers, and they are actually yellow, the navigation on OzB is not. I've also bumped the brightness to full and same thing. Eyes are fine, so is colour calibration on my devices.

          • +4

@psyren89: No, they just have Dark Mode turned on under 'My Account'.

Right now OzB is a yellow #ffc832 in light mode and a brown #665014 in dark mode.

Trishool should probably still see a doctor if that colour accurately reflects their excreta.

            • @SteveBuscemi: Thanks Steve, I wasn’t aware of dark mode and your comment just made my OzBargain nightlife so much better.

        • They didn't choose brown lol

  • +1

    Thanks OP

Dumped deliveroo few years for terrible service but may give them a go if this works. Anyone know if this would allow a referral code and how?

  • +9

To save you time, I have tried PrePaid Coles MasterCard, it does not work. LOL

  • -3

Mine Linked, but have no idea what benefits I can get from this…

  • +3

Citibank Gold Debit MasterCard - 12 months free
It's my international fee free card.

    As I'm a new user - GETMY15 $15 CREDIT - Min spend $25.

    • Thanks! I have the same card! 12 months free AND added GETMY15 for the $15 credit.

Now to see if Deliveroo actually works in my area ….

  • +3

Yay! I just got 6 months free off a Mastercard debit card I never use. Thanks OP. Another Ozbargain success story!

  • legend! thank you

  • +4

Got 6 months with 28 Degrees Mastercard.

  • Your card has been declined for an unknown reason.

Does this mean I'm not eligible or is it an actual error?

    • So my Westpac Debit card wasn't working but a comment here said their Revolut card worked which reminded me I have one of those

Now I've got 12 months which is nice but who knows how much I'll even use it

      • Yep my westpac debit is not working either

    • did you use the regular or disposable?

      • +1

        Regular westpac card

        Regular revolut card

  • +5

12 months with my Bankwest Platinum. Probably won't use due to their poor delivery history in my area, but can't hurt to have on the off chance that I want some food not delivered/dropped off at a random neighbour's house.

PSA: I set a reminder for this deal for 1 August 2023 just to double check that I have cancelled it and won't get stung by a recurring fee.

    • +1

My Bankwest Platinum gave 12 Months, Bundll gave 6 Months :)

  • +4

Got 12 months. But I doubt I will ever use it.

  • How do you know how many months you get? I have multiple cards..

  • Even free, this is rubbish in my area so bad its ridiculous. Always severely delayed.

  • Thanks Op. Got for 6months (until 08 March 2023).
I sit possible to cancel the subscription now and still have plus membership active till 08 March 2023?

    • +1

I tried to cancel but it stated it would be cancelled today, so I've put a reminder in my phone to cancel the day before it would bill me.

"If you decide to cancel, your subscription will end on 8 Oct 2022. After this date, you’ll no longer get unlimited free delivery or access to exclusive restaurant offers."

  • R U OK?

  • +2

I used my westpac credit card and got 6 months. I then created another account and used my virtual single use card from Revolut and go figure - now I got another membership but for 12 months this time

  • +2

I got 12 months for $0 with my Macqurie Mastercard Debit Card. Thank you!!

  • Legend thanks OP, got 6 months with CBA debit

  • -2

The gig economy simply promotes people working for less than award wages. Drivers compensate by using tricks to maximise route density, leaving the customer with cold food and dissatisfied. I wonder if people actually think through how a service like this can exist for such a cheap price when labour and fuel costs so much. Plus, if you're going to eat junk food the least you can do is get off your suction pad to pick it up - would do you the world of good.

  • Sweet, I got 12 months but looks like Deliveroo doesn't even operate in my area…

    • +3

a reason to move I guess

  • +2

First try did not work, then went into Deliveroo app and manually added my Coles Platinum Credit Card (not prepaid). Came back to this page and followed the link and again manually entered details. Got 12 months. For some reason it didn't work when information was auto-filled.

    • Thanks had the same issue and followed what you did and it worked! 12 months free. Cheers!

  • got 12 months with citibank debit card, just remember to cancel sept 2023!

  • +3

May be just where I live but Deliveroo is the worst of the delivery apps IMO. Rarely have any drivers but the app still accepts orders and then delivers it over 1hr late. Awful sales support also.

    • Same here. I'm hoping there's one random great deal that makes ordering worthwile, otherwise I'm just glad it's free

    • Just experienced this - 2 hours later and no food… deleting my account after I get a refund.

  • Worked for me - 12 months w a platinum debit card, cheers!

  • Thanks OP. Got 12 months with this.. cancelled Uber One.

  • CBA Platinum Debit gave me 12 months

  • +2

eligible for 6 months with CBA debit card

  • Thank you! Got 12 months with Westpac Black

  • +1

What’s the quickest way to get MasterCard debit card?

  • +2

28 Degrees! it works too for 6 months only :)

  • Bankwest Platinum. Did not work. F@#%!!

  • Thanks OP.

It worked but the first restaurant I chose "The restaurant has chosen not to participate in Deliveroo Plus".

    • +1

      McDonald's?

  • Used Bundll and got 6 months membership. Thanks.

  • +1

Worked for my Coles master card, got 12 months, Cheers.

However, at the moment around my home for dinner only McD and a pizza shop are listed…and McD page says they don't participate in Deliveroo plus (laugh-cry-face).

  • 12 months for my card that I'm about to cancel. sweet! thanks op

  • Worked with my free Citibank Plus Transaction card. Nice!

    • What the? I got the same, got declined :(

      • Same my Citibank card is declining

      • My Citi debit got declined as well. :(

      • Oh weird. Don't know why mine worked sorry

  • +1

Used UP and got 6 months

  • +1

Qualified on a 24 Degrees Platinum however on looking at the prices, they're prohibitively marked up so I'll likely cancel without ever placing an order. ..🫢🫣😡. .!!

  • Great find! I got 6 months with my 28 Degrees Platinum Mastercard

  • CBA Mastercard Gold got 6 months. Thanks OP!!!

  • +5

Successfully getting 12 months with Revolut virtual card

Need to first adding the card to Deliveroo app
Then received an email to activate the offer

However I haven’t been using Deliveroo lately due to last bad experience with them

No rider to pick up my food after waiting for 2 hours, and need to manually went to the restaurant myself

    • Signed up to Revolut virtual card but the Mastercard website keeps on returning error. Grrr …

      • I have the same issue
You will need to add the Revolut Mastercard to your Deliveroo account first as payment method (via the Deliveroo app)

Then you will receive a link from email that will work

        • Is that email from Deliveroo ?

          • @prisonmike: Just checked that it’s actually emailed from Mastercard

The email subject is Don't forget! If you haven't already, activate your Deliveroo Australia benefit

            • @littlesoldier: Thank @littlesoldier . I followed the step but the Mastercard website still complaining that the card has been declined for unknown reason, I haven’t received the email from Mastercard yet though

              • @prisonmike: Remember to add the single use virtual card (online shopping) one, not the multi use card as that is visa

The link in the email has a unique code and slightly different than the one in this deal

                Mine link format is https://deliveroo.com.au/mastercard?code=PLUS4PYXXXXXX

Besides, your Revolut should immediately having a new transaction entry called Master Benefit

                • +2

@littlesoldier: I ended up creating a new Deliveroo account, then added the virtual card from Revolut and then clicked the link in this post. The link then took me to the Mastercard website to check the eligibility and then shaabam…. I was eligible. It worked and got 12 months free Deliveroo Plus. Thanks @littlesoldier

    • Thanks, worked first time with the disposable card.

    • When did Revolut become mastercard? Still visa in mine

      • Revolut single-use virtual card is master card, multi-use and physical cards are Visa

        • Just got one thanks but its the other way round where multi-use ones are mastercard

      • +2

        add a new virtual free..
the old virtual one use is visa..
i did get a new mastercard and works.. ;)

  • Got 12 months free with CBA Platinum Debit.

    Thanks!!

    • Same! Thanks

  • Yeah worked for my Coles Plat MC - 12 months - we have no Deliveroo here but I do travel a bit - going to Brisbane next week, GC in October and Melb in December so can get some use from it then.

  • Thanks OP. I got 12 months free with Coles Mastercard.

  • What happened to Deliveroo? I logged in to my account to redeem this, looks like I haven’t ordered in 2 years. Not one single restaurant I had previously ordered from is in the app anymore.

    • Probably changing their pay out to riders making it very few willing to take their orders

  • Coming up as offer not valid for CBA Mastercard Gold

  • +1

Does the membership stay if we cancel it so it does not auto renew

    • Would like to know this also. If I cancel straight away does my membership finish that day or month or in 12 months time.

      • +1

        Finishes straight away

    • No it is canceled immediately

  • Coles MasterCard got me 12 months :)

  • Thanks OP, got 12 months with a Bankwest Qantas Mastercard Debit.

  • I didn't qualify for my citibank premier mastercard, but my citibank debit card did.
I ended up using the option for check validity. I then added my card to my account but the link on here still didnt work. However I had been emailed a link when my validity check passed, and I used that instead, and that one worked.

  • -1

Free delivery is great, however does Deliveroo charge 20% extra on top of every meal?

    • Yeh because Deliveroo takes a cut from restaurants

      • -1

Yep, so its like Uber Etc. Is free delivery really worth it then? You could be paying $5 extra per meal or whatever.

        • Depending on when you need it…I really like this sandwich shop so for me it's either drive 15 mins maybe with traffic 20 or pay extra $3..

      • Every food delivery service takes a cut from restaurants. It's not unique to Deliveroo.

  • Thanks, my 28 degrees card worked

  • +1

Thanks OP, worked with CBA debit card

  • Thanks bankwest platinum worked!

  • Woohoo worked with cba mastercard!

  • just curious, why some cards get 6 months only and some get 12?

  • Thanks OP, got 12m with Macquarie [Platinum] debit!

  • Great! Got 12 months free with Maq Debit Mastercard

  • +1

We only have 7 reports for a duplicate on this deal which goes to a different site and has worked for numerous people who couldn't get through on the other deal posts… Can we get a few more?

    • I'm confused Domingo, are you calling for more people to report this post as a duplicate, even though this method 'has worked for numerous people who couldn't get through on the other deal posts'?

I didn't mean to steal anyone's thunder. I just wanted to share a workaround. I'm more than happy for the mods to remove this post if everyone feels it's a dupe.

      • +1

        /sarcasm

Note that I used your post successfully and upvoted you

  • Awesome! Got 12 months using Wise Platinum Debit card.

    • did u get the card when it was "Transferwise"?

  • Got 12 months, shame they don't service my area ;/

    • Hmmmm.. congrats?

      • +1

        Oh wow, Thanks!

  • Thanks OP, got 12 months

  • 6 months with Up (checked virtual and physical card).

  • Wow, it worked for me! Thanks!

  • Legends ! Worked with regular commbank debit card !

  • Worked for me 6 months but as others have stated. Lack of drivers means its a 50/50 youll get your food and if you do itll be 2 hours late and cold as ice

    • +2

The restaurants near me seem to have figured it out and don't start cooking until a rider gets assigned. Which generally means they don't start cooking, unless it's 2 hours after you order when someone finally starts heading to them.

  • Thanks, 12 months with Coles mastercard. Sadly only have like fast food joints at inflated prices 😔

  • +1

12 months with Bankwest. Deliveroo are good in my area. Win win.

  • +2

Hahahah… Revolut virtual, single use card worked for 12 months of Deliveroo Plus!

Thanks OPs - I like free delivery!

  • Works for Westpac Altitude Black MasterCard

  • 12 months free with westpac black credit card.

    Thanks op!

  • Got 6 months on 28degrees! First order from GYG with 40% discount and $15 further first order discount. Totally worth it. Thanks OP

  • +1

My Bundl virtual card worked on this. Thank you.

  • +1

Got 12 months. Plus the place I ordered from and had previously never heard of was awesome. Good price, good food and delivered like 15 minutes after I ordered

  • Got 12 months with CBA platinum debit card. Pretty sweet deal…ngl. Thanks OP.

  • Anyway to cancel subscription now and keep it or we have to do it after 6 months?

  • thanks OP, got 12 months with my CBA platinum debit card!!

  • +1

even with deliveroo plus you only get free delivery for orders over $20?

    • Yeah, it's BS. It's not like prime where you can do orders of any size.

  • Do you need to use the same card for all orders for 12 months?

    • No, you can just add another one, and delete the MasterCard.

  • My MasterCard wasn’t eligible :(

  • I get this error message :
    Check eligibility
In order to redeem this offer, please check your card’s eligibility with Mastercard.

With a exclamation 'Offer not valid' pop up at the bottom of the page. Am I doing it right?

    • +1

Just ignore that and press the check for eligibility button anyway. I had the same thing and I got 6 months free.

      • Cheers.
If I click the blue 'get deliveroo plus for free' button, the next page says :

        Blue button 'check eligibility'.
If I click it, I get:

        "Page not found
The page you're looking for can't be found. Try one of the links below, or try searching for a keyword(s) with the search icon above".

Using Chrome on Android. I have already added the card to the account via the app.

  • Yay I got 6 months, thanks !!

  • Thank you! Got 6 months with Go Mastercard.

Added a reminder on my phone to unsubscribe the day before

  • Just be careful - At the end of the free period you automatically get charged. I bet you're thinking 'that's okay, I'll just cancel the subscription straight away!'

… But you can't. If you try and cancel the sub, it says your benefits will end at the end of the month cycle. So you'd be throwing away 5-11 months of free sub.

Might wish to set yourself a reminder so that you don't forget half/a full year from now, to avoid getting slugged for $13 (probably a lot more by then).

  • hmm, I am a new user and signed up to deliveroo today. I added my mastercard CC when I went into the plus section, it offered me 30 day free trial and thats about it. No other offers. am I doing something wrong?

  • Got 6 months free with my 28 Degrees MC!

  • +1

Legend! Received 12 months free with my Bankwest mastercard!

    • Damn. I tried my CommBank card first and got 6 months, tried my Bankwest but wouldn't let me so had to go with the 6 months.

  • Works with UP Mastercard as well

  • 12 months free with my steppay 'card'. Also worked on the last mastercare deal for Amazon.

  • Added my eligible CBA card but still no Deliveroo Plus …

  • Got 12 months with CBA debit mastercard platinum

  • What perks are there with plus? Just free delivery? Deliveroo already charges a lot more than other competitors.

  • Worked with my 28 degrees, got 12 months plus for free.

  • Wtf. They charge $12.99 per month for this normally and they STILL hit you with a ‘Service fee’ and jack up the prices of each item.

    • They have to make their money from somewhere!

      The cost of convenience…

  • Gf got 6 months with Westpac debit MasterCard, yeww

  • Thanks OP! got 12 months from Westpac Altitude Black

  • Thanks for the share! Got 6 months with a standard CBA Mastercard.

  • REF Free Plus for 6 months

    $0 a month until 10 Mar 2023
First payment on 10 Mar 2023

BUT I entered a wbc platinum card is this correct only 6 months?

  • Thanks OP. Got 12 months with WBC black rewards.

First time using Deliveroo and they seem to have terrible reviews.

I placed an order today at 3:30 pm and they keep updating the arrival time pushing it further with a message saying no later than 5:33 pm. I take it this is normal with Deliveroo?

  • Tried this and its saying the offer has expired, anyone have the dame issue?

  • They jack up the price all the time. All meals were $3-$4 more expensive compared to the online price in the McDonald's app.

  • -1

just got my offer today to bad i don't use food delivery as you pay more per food item as well as delivery

  • Bankwest platinum debit worked

  • Has anybody actually been reimbursed for this yet? I was charged but did not get any money back.

  • Anyone else's subscription disappear? Was supposed to be 6 months but I don't see it on my account anymore.

    • I cancelled mine to make sure I didn't forget and get charged down the line. I was pretty sure that it said I would still get the full 6 month period of free delivery (though could be wrong) - I don't think I would have cancelled early without seeing it..

Tried asking on Deliveroo chat and they've said the trial is over since I cancelled.

Anyone know (or maybe have a screenshot of the cancel page saying it will still be valid) what the actual go is?

      Cheers

    • Just checked mine. It's still there. FWIW I got it with a CommBank MasterCard debit card.

  • +1

Just got 6 months with a Commbank debit mastercard…so not expired.

  • Thanks OP. Cheers

We have today made the sad announcement that we are leaving Australia. This has been a difficult decision to make. We have enjoyed serving you the amazing food that Australia is known for, working with thousands of brilliant restaurants and riders.

Deliveroo, like all other companies, is now doing business in challenging economic conditions, which requires us to take difficult decisions. We always aim to deliver the best possible service for our consumers wherever we operate, and if we cannot do that we will be prepared to review our position.

In Australia, we have concluded that achieving a sustainable position of leadership in the market is not possible without a disproportionate level of investment which would have highly uncertain returns.

On the basis of this decision, Deliveroo Australia has been placed into administration. The director of Deliveroo Australia has appointed Michael Korda, Andrew Knight and Craig Shepard of KordaMentha as voluntary administrators. To find out more, including information for creditors, please visit click here. You will receive further communications from the Administrators shortly.

    What this means for you

Deliveroo Australia has ceased operations, meaning you can no longer place orders on Deliveroo in Australia.

You will still be able to access your customer account for up to 6 months from this date onwards. After this period your customer account will be closed. Within this period while your account is open, you can download your customer information.

Thank you for ordering with Deliveroo.

For any further information, please visit the administrators’ website at: https://kordamentha.com/creditors

We want to thank you again for using Deliveroo.

    The Deliveroo Team

    • I’ve only had 3 orders since free membership lol.
I can’t even cancel the subscription now, app freezes. (I know it sounds unnecessary but just in case!)

  • RIP
