How's preorder at RRP a bargain? This is unlikely a super popular product that will get sold out quickly

Interesting range of features very similar to the AirPods Pro 2 just announced, main difference seeming to be Bose has SBC codec support, although from what I can gather no loss. Oh and $30 dearer than the Apple equivalent (help, world seems wrong!).

Look forward to comparison reviews on sound, ANC and microphone performance.

    • I believe their ANC is on another level though.
"The CustomTune process recalibrates each earbud locally every time you remove them from the case. It plays a quick startup chime, then calculates how your ear canal warps the sound and adjusts accordingly. Instead of relying on a one-size-fits-all ANC filter to work its magic for everyone’s ears, this one leaves the guesswork up to an algorithm. Both you and I have heard countless companies say that they adjust the sound to your ear anatomy, but this was pretty convincing."

    • Airpods killer feature is transparency really.

  • Yes, but that sounds like a Bose brand version of the apple equivalent but without using the iPhone camera:

A redesigned inward-facing microphone works with voice enhancement algorithms to better recognise and articulate your voice, so it sounds more natural when you’re on phone and video calls.

    And further:

AirPods Pro take the listening experience to a new level of individuality. Personalised Spatial Audio with dynamic head tracking works with all your devices to immerse you deeper in all-around-you sound. And Adaptive EQ accounts for the fit of AirPods Pro, so you hear every frequency just as it was intended.
To play sound that better suits your unique ear shape, Personalised Spatial Audio works with the TrueDepth camera on your iPhone to create a customised profile based on your head’s geometry. The profile syncs across your devices — delivering phenomenal sound every way you listen.

Which could be all a load of… but we will have to wait for the review comparisons to find out which approach is more genuine.

  • had the previous/current version and they felt huge! Noise cancelling from Bose is always great as I can attest with my wired in-ears that I still enjoy using… after selling the aforementioned wireless v1's. Doesn't say if these new ones have a wireless charging case though, which seems the norm at this price level now.

    • looks no wireless charging.

    • I have the v1's also (though got a warranty replacement after a year) and my case definitely has wireless charging? Currently wireless charging the case as I type this. Granted, its nowhere as fast as cable charging but could it be down to only certain wireless chargers working maybe?

always loved the wired qc20, but it seemed their previous wireless qc buds weren't that great.
And the fit looks quite different to the old qc stuff that sat on the ear hole rather than went in.. this one looks deeper.

    • The QC20's were great. The silicone buds had that additional anchor support made for the most comfortable fit available IMHO.

  • The price is nausea-generating. I hope people pause a second, give a second thought before running behind brand names.

  • Before reading the title I thought Bose had brought out some slippers.

  • I ordered through Qantas rewards for "PTS 2,000 + AUD $332.39 and received 3,174 Qantas Points on this order" by taking 5% off for Points Club and 20% off using BOSE20 code valid till the 9th of oct from what the email from qantas said. So it's basically a hundred dollars cheaper plus a free 1174 Qantas points too!

    • Yeah that's a cracking effort. I tried it, but the BOSE20 code doesn't seem to be working on them.

      • Yeah, I tried it as well, but the code didn't work.
