Well reviewed ATX case. I believe it has only been at this price point or lower twice before.

This is an ATX case! And a bloody good one at that, save for needing an SFX PSU.

    • -1

This is completely incorrect. It fits ATX motherboards, it does not fit ATX psu's. Under specs :

      PSU Sizes Accepted
      SFX, SFX-L

      • +10

What? That's exactly what I said. It's an ATX case, except it needs an SFX PSU.

        Back to school for you.

        • -1

I read it as saves you. Now im suspicious. Suspicious eyes here.

  • Does an atm psu fit ?

    • +2

      No. SFX only

      • +5

        My grinder says otherwise!

  • +2

Great price, but inability to fit an ATX PSU is a dealbreaker.

The Lian-Li Lancool II also on sale at $109 may suit most folk better - www.ple.com.au/Products/637793/Lian-Li-LANCOOL-II-Black-Mid-…

The O11D Mini looks so much better than the one that you linked in my opinion

      • Agree. I bought the Snow White version a couple of weeks ago and it looks mint.

        • Yes, agreed, this case is a beauty

      • Nothing surer.

But a good looking case is a paperweight for many folk if it can't fit a standard ATX power supply.

      • +1

o11 air mini fits atx psu. Has very similar styling, but not front glass (which for me is a positive).

        • Fits atx psu but very limited in terms of AIO, can't mount 280mm, only 240mm.

          • @NigerianGirthLord: Specs say otherwise:

            (Top) 240mm or 280mm (Side) 240mm (Bottom) 240mm or 280mm (Front) 240mm or 280mm

    • This is such an odd take. I'm sure those looking into the market for cases of this size are already aware that they need a small-form PSU.

      • +3

Perhaps, but then I'm sure that most people in the market for a small form factor case and PSU would be searching for an ITX case rather than an ATX, and least of all for a case listed as ATX but which couldn't fit an ATX PSU.

I thought it was worth pointing out for potential buyers who may not have been aware - apologies if it offended…

Lian Li didn't want to cannibalise their other line-ups (not even joking). The O11 Mini could be a bit wider to make room for an ATX PSU but then people would not bother getting their more expensive dynamic or evo

      • +2

Heaps of mini ITX cases support full size PSUs, so always worth noting.

I've got the Lancool 2 and been using it since release. It's honestly a really nice case and very premium feeling for the price too. I enjoyed building in it far more than the Silverstone Fara R1 Pro that I recently rebuilt a spare PC using. Had an issue with one of the Lian-Li fans making a noise, and PLE swapped it out for me without an issue.

May not be the best thermally, but still a good choice in my opinion.

  • How can you tell if sfx psu? If atx not there then sfx? I google it and some modular psus pop up but not sure how modular they are? Interested in what good sfx psus are out there.. Probably 650 or 750w given I'm looking at something like a 3070 and a i5 12600k (or next generation equivalent)

    • I have a SilverStone SFX SX650 (650w gold) in this case and a corsair SF750 platinum in my NR200. Corsair is the better psu but alot more expensive, keep in mind they jump in price a fair bit when the power rating goes up (in any brand). 3070/12600 will be fine with 650 but next gen gpus might be a bit limited though that's just speculation based on rumours.

      Edit: both are modular

  • Something like the corsair sf600 platinum a good option?

    • Yep but there are 2 types, a 80+ gold & 80+ platinum. I think they're both pretty good. Just make sure you know which one you're getting

  • Shame $26 delivery. Still tempted though.

  • Great case. Use it for a dual radiator build and it keeps my overclocked cpu & 3080 nice and cool.

  • I want Hyte Y60

  • +1

I got the white one from their last sale, very good build quality well worth the price, but it is pretty big for an 'SFF case', still it looks great and yes main down side is sfx/sfxL power supply limit.

On a different note PLE have very good customer service, it did take a while for the case to get to me but they'd sent a case from a store to there DC in Vic then from there to NSW, they still replied to my query on ETA really quickly and I definitely appreciate that shipping it to me would have cost them a fair bit, I dare say probably not worth it for them, and rather than cancelling my order they fulfilled the order. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend and/use them in the future, shame they only operate in WA and Vic mostly.

  • With shipping factored in, would this make sense for someone willing to wait? https://www.centrecom.com.au/lian-li-o11-air-mini-case-black

  • +1

The O11 Air Mini accepts an ATX PSU. I have one. But it's another $50 ($60 for white). Has been the same price as this before though. I paid $109 for mine from PLE back in April, with free delivery.

  • What is the difference between an ATX and SFX power supplies and why is this such an issue?

Are the SFX power supplies a lot more expensive, does not appear this is the case…

    • More in form factor and max wattage I believe.
You won't see much of a different in performance (same specs) but you will be amazed on how small the SFX PSU if you put it side by side with ATX PSU.
