The BBQ Cheeseburger is VERY small and can often be won on the shake and win app for $1. You can pair this with a frozen coke, and grab something from the Penny Pinchers menu to save a little bit in comparison to the meal deal

I shake just about everyday and have only seen a BBQ Cheeseburger for $1 once. I get smashed with $4 (used to be $3) Bacon Deluxes.
Does anyone remember the days when they first launched the app in like 2014 where the prizes weren't dished out server-side or authenticated so someone modified the APK on Android to give you whatever prize you wanted, and one of the selections was a free stunner meal. Those were the days.
@BradH13: Yup I remember this. The only way I was able to use that APK was through an Android emulator on my Surface, so even though I got it to work, I would have had to take that surface around with me to show them lol.
Also, I've been using shake and win for 8+ years and I feel the location matters for the items you get. BBQ cheeseburger and shake for $3 is another very popular one. Not sure how you've only gotten the $1 burger once.

Same, but I'd get the fries without salt and change the drink to a coffee or chai. The double cheeseburger was a decent post-workout meal and at least removing the salt on the fries reduces the sodium intake. Coffee cuts down on the sugar too over a soft drink
It has caffeine. Terrible for your recovery if you drink it in afternoon.
@Mi2: Usually don't past 12 or 1. Will switch to 1/2 strength past that. Chai has less because it's black tea, but seems to have a lot o sugar.

It’s pretty good still. A cheeseburger alone at maccas is $4. And HJs make Barista made coffee now which is slowly getting better.

@WatchNerd: Nah, never had weight issues. Purely financial based. Also, with the 2:1 KFC offers in the ent book, KFC is weirdly now much cheaper than HJs.
Guess HJs are still getting plenty of sales, so why wouldn't they put prices up. But I've gone from HJs being my only fast food place in 12+ years..to only KFC now.
Happy when they were following the real inflation, but 10% per quarter is too far for me.
Better off getting two of the $5 meal now, get two drinks and two slices of cheese.

I miss their southern-style long chicken burgers and their original grilled chicken burgers with the wholemeal dusted buns.
Hated the wholemeal grilled chicken when I was 15, loved it from early adult until they removed it a few years ago.

you can get half a kilo of them for the same price at aldi. Pop them into an air fryer and you're golden.

Tbf 3 nuggets cost $4.45 at my local Maccas. I haven't had chicken nuggets for years but I'd imagine it's a $2 saving?

I'm surprised this has 13 votes so far. We've been getting better deals on the App, but they are inconsistent, as is 'Shake n Win'.
They had some reasonable deals on Brekky a month ago, but unlike Maccas, they don't deduct the price of Egg off the price??? Most of HJ's deals have Egg, hence why I goto Macca's instead. They are quicker as well.
But the Burgers are better at HJs.

Yeah nothing to see here with these vouchers - they've completely nerfed them. All the action bargains-wise is to be had on the shake n win now.
And may I add that they have changed the free Jack's brekky roll - it was free and now 4 bucks. Completely understandable as it's a substantial burger and by a mile the best thing they've ever offered for free.
Only got the free brekky roll once and it was the first week it started appearing on the app.. I did wonder if it was only for the first week. Also saw a $1 miniccino recently on shake n win, hope it isnt the end of the free coffee era..

I have found that 4 x $5 double cheeseburger medium value meal (Jack’s App Deal) totaling $20 is a much better value than the $29.95 family bundle.
The double cheeseburger deal is ending tomorrow and getting replaced by whopper jr deal.
I remember 1999/2000 it was $9.95 for 2 whoppers, 2 whopper Juniors (or Cheeseburgers), 4 small fries and 4 small Drinks (Mega Meal?). Then it went up a dollar when GST came in. (The start of the yearly price rise like Alcohol and Cigarettes).
If I recall you could get 2 whoppers on the voucher for about $3.25 back in 2002

Even with the stupid price increases I consider KFC (via app) a bargain and superior in most ways, HJs maybe worth considering and McD’s an absolute no go zone.
