At where? You need to put where the deal is from in the location.

Everyone must really hate this game. Target listed the digital only version earlier today and it sold out in 1 minute.

    • +12

I think people just don't want to pay $94 for it…

      • +2

I paid $69 preorder before release, not sure why it hasn't come back to that price. Regret bought the ps5 version, as my friends who still on ps4 could not borrow it.

          • +4

@muwu: Maybe they're not poor. Maybe they just have other things to spend their money on that they consider higher priority than video games.

            • @PainToad: I hope that's true for everyone and their discretionary spending considerations 😊

          • @muwu: Is poverty a choice?

            • +1

              @Techie4066: Never. It's an outcome.

            • @Techie4066: Government policy

              • -4

                @Griffindinho: I'm sure you're being humorous 👍

Without talking in absolutes or minimising the disadvantages some need to overcome, for the uninitiated this is an important principal to start with before engaging with others with your help and charity.

              • @Griffindinho: RBA policy by increasing interest rates as well

                • @Anthropomorphised: Property ownership in Australia and poverty, I'd like to study the centre of that Venn diagram…

                  • @muwu: If you actually read, I didn’t mention property ownership champ. The RBA raising the cash rate makes it more expensive for every financial institution to borrow and loan money. That in turn affects the ability of businesses to finance investments and expansions. Raising cash rate usually results in increased unemployment and reduces consumer confidence, helping put a dampener on locally based inflation. RBA are absolutely happy to put people in poverty to achieve their inflation target

                    • @Anthropomorphised:

                      If you actually read…

                      … champ.

Please don't make it personal. Anonymous internet people have feelings too!

                      • @muwu: It's not personal, it's asking you to accurately read a message

                        • -1

                          @Anthropomorphised:

                          If you actually read…

                          Spurning

                          … champ.

                          Name-calling, belittling

The language is clearly personal. And beyond that, making someone feel maligned depends on the effect of what you say not the intention.

                    • @Anthropomorphised:

                      … results in increased unemployment…

… put a dampener on locally based inflation…

Oh no, that's exacerbating the exact economic issues we have right now!

This RBA sure does have such malevolent aims. They're out to get us!

                      • @muwu: Strawman argument, never implied that they're nefarious in any way, you've inferred that. Simply stated the fact that the RBA has a very specific objective, which they pursue, fully aware of how it affects everyday Aussies

                        • -1

@Anthropomorphised: Strawman arguments are fallacious. With annualised CPI 6.1% and unemployment at 3.4%, I am simply refuting the reasons you've stated as the harmful effects the RBA is having with economic markers that represent the opposite.

never implied that they're nefarious in any way

                          Yes, you did.

RBA are absolutely happy to put people in poverty

                          • @muwu: Saying they’re happy to put people into poverty pursuing their target inflation rate is simply a fact. It’s not in their mission to maintain peoples’ standard of living. That’s not the RBA’s fault, they’re just doing their job. I’d argue that it’s the federal governments (not saying a specific federal gov, to be clear).
I’m not even against the interest rate hikes themselves, I’m against the fact that Philip Lowe came out and made premature forecasts for future interest rates, and jacked up rates too late, requiring steep rises.
You seem to think I’m some radical, I’m anything but

      • They are charging $145 for the game alone, assuming this only comes with one controller. Ridiculous price.

        • +2

Actually ps5 non digital price is now 799, so they are charging $94 for the game.

          • @dango23: Oh right, didn't know they upped it.

    • +1

they are charging $94 for the digital version.

    • +4

      No one hates the game.

What I hate is that even with the price increase Sony CBF giving us at least a physical copy with the bundle.

this is even worse than the Nintendo Switch Limited editions without the games.

Sony : "Here have a free game bundled in with our PS5 but you have to pay more for it now and on top of that you can't share the game with your friends. (profanity) you consumers and have a nice day."

      • -3

it seems most people don't know this is actually a upgraded ps5 with new motherboard.

        • +4

not guaranteed.alot of the horizon bundles are still the older model.

best chance to get new model is to buy the standalone consoles.

        • Big wow, it's not an upgrade from the original PS5 in any way other than it is cheaper for Sony to make.

  • +7

If SONY bundles the new God of War Ragnarok in Nov this year, it should be a much better deal though.

    • +1

I'm 100% waiting for that bundle. That's how I bought my PS4 pro and it was so worth it.

    • +4

God of War limited edition console would be sick.

  • +1

True but people still Buying :(

  • Still available at 10:07 am :D

    • Still available at 11:50am

  • I had used for PS3 and Ps4 but this gen, I switched to Xbox series x whic is much cheaper but powerful than PS5.

Yes PS5 has better exclusives. But xbox gamepass is great!

No regret at all. Once the deal with blizzard is done, xbox system will be better.

    • whats the blizzard deal?

      • +3

        whats the blizzard deal?

MS have secured an exclusive deal for the upcoming Mr Freeze game. It should be cool.

      • +1

        Microsoft Acquisition of Blizzard.
It is on the way now and hope to complete it by middle of next year.

Once done, all blizzard owned games will be available on Gamepass such as Call of duty and diablos etc.

        • Now we just need another gamepass deal

    • +1

Until they gain enough market share to raise the price of gamepass to pay for those billion dollar acquisitions.

      • +1

Game Pass has been out for 5 years without a price increase, how long are people going to keep saying it will go up until it does then say "SEE I told you!"

        • +1

It’s not successful enough to raise the price - I’ve taken advantage of the 3 months for $1 promo multiple times - there’s just not enough value in it if you own the games you actually invest in. The other issue is that in the meantime MS focusses on creating content that is either cheap to make or live-service based. They don’t won’t invest in a God of War level experience that they’d have to give away for one month of GP. They’re also compelling Sony to go down the same troubling path.

          • @baratta: Guess you haven't heard of Forza or Halo or Starfield then?

        • +1

Look at Netflix's price through the years. It went quite a long time without significant price increases as they used the affordable pricing to attract customers. In recent years, with their higher market saturation they've increased the costs rapidly to offset costs

    • +2

Xbox series x whic is much cheaper but powerful than PS5

I mean you're probably right, but the games have been far better than what xbox has had. Plus the upcoming God of War is likely to be better than anything xbox has coming out.

      • Can I borrow that crystal ball?

        • I said likely.

          • @jaygee: Unlikely given the amount of acquisitions Microsoft have made recently. Sony are even trying to block them.

            • @Spendmore: Exclusives. and GOOD exclusives take time. Years. The other thing is that just because Microsoft bought companies doesn't mean that they will convert to xbox only. Many franchies will continue to be on both (and others).

I haven't seen many good exclusives that blow you out of the water on xbox so far (newest gen), while the really good PS5 exclusives, while not many, have been filtering through.

              • @jaygee: I reckon Forza 5 blows any GT version away for sure, Forza Motorsport in development due soon, starfield in development due soon. Should see some great games coming from blizzard and Bethesda as well…..just because they were recently acquired doesn't mean they haven't been working on new titles.
I will likely buy a PS5 to complement my PC, switch and Xsx, will likely buy a switch pro for BOTW2 when that comes out so I hope MS and Sony both put the gloves on as it has been a slow start all round.

                • +1

@Spendmore: Recent Forza's are better yes.

I would say one of the best games i've played in recent years is Last of Us 2. I haven't had that experience on a PS in years, so I guess it can happen anytime for xbox.

                  • @jaygee: Yeah here's hoping the scene picks up. At least the new Zelda has a release date now!
                    Next March 😑

  • +1

    Purchased one at 10:14am

No Home Delivery available but could send it to a local K-Hub about 2 blocks away

  • +1

    Edit: I was wrong

  • -1

How much can one scalp this for these days?

    • +1

      Only $45's not worth :)

  • +2

The Bundles from Eb Games are no longer available, just for those ones saying that no one wants the system anymore with the price increase.

    • I think it's more the bundle, not the price increase, you can get the physical game for a lot cheaper ($54 at amazon atm). The Eb one did show up last night at 10pm along with digital, and the digital sold out in like a minute, while this bundle sold out this morning at like 11am. Which is ridiculously long given how fast ps5 has been selling out.

      • +1

EB Games was also having payment issues for many customers preventing purchasing.

  • +7

Waiting for just the console itself. Not paying for the game cause it's not even a disc, just a digital code

    • -2

      might be waiting a while

      • +4

        Patience is a virtue.

    • Why wait ring a store…

  • +4

Pulled the trigger and got it. It's a bit more expensive than I wanted, but for the sake of getting it this week, who really cares.

Really excited about this game too, one of my most anticipated PS5 exclusives to play.

    • +3

AS long as you're happy thats the main thing.

If you're going to use it go for it.

  • I'm after a PS4 console (new/refurb) for a decent price of course. Looked at some but no go. Could someone kindly point me to the right direction? Thanks.

    • Fb marketplace.

    • Get it from eb and comes with warranty

  • Wanted to use flybuys to buy this but can only redeem up to $40 directly on target and cant use flypay + points on target :(

  • +3

Yikes with these forced bundle deals

  • +1

Not a deal with a forced game that is half the price in this bundle

  • +1

    Posting here to thanks OP.
It is nice to see when the PS5 is back in stock for those who want it.

Understand it is expensive with the price increase, but when there is a scarcity of stock, an in stock item will become a good option.

  • +3

I'll play the long game as these are not deals just more profiteering at our our expense

  • How much are scalpers selling the bundles for now on average?

  • +1

No deal here $94 for included game

    • Especially for only a code not a physical disc

  • +2

Doesn't matter we're now getting regular stock drops. Price has been inflated for 2 year old hardware.

  • I was confused to make the pre-order yesterday. Then my Steamdeck pre-order is honoured today after 6 months. I guess destiny says that PS5 is not for me though.

  • Seems it's not in shortage? maybe a price drop promotion is not far.

    • There is no way any retailer will have a price drop promotion for this. Especially when stocks barely last for less than a day.

Best we can hope is a better bundle deal.

  • +1

    OOS

  • +2

    And… is gone.
    Is gone

  • +2

Enjoy whoever Purchased !!!!!! i was happy to see this for that long on OZB
