Found a review (slightly dif specs, i.e. 32gb instead of 16gb. Not sure if anything else is different)

Different processor in the review? - 1260 vs the 1240 here. Looks like (from a few quick reviews) the 1240 is better in a few ways, eg battery life, single core performance.

    1.64kg, pretty heavy

  • +1

best find of the day! bought one for my dad.

  • how is battery life?

  • +4

Seems like it ticks every box you could want for this sort of laptop around the 1k mark.

    Latest gen processor ✅
    High res touch screen ✅
    16GB ram ✅
Large SSD 1TB (even 512gb I would have been happy with at this price) ✅
    2in1/usable in tablet form✅
    Decent sized battery ✅

Only questions would be overall screen quality/brightness and built quality but it looks good to me.

It's quite heavy at 1.64kg for a tablet hybrid

      • I wouldn't be holding it on the train all the way home at 1.64kg but it's tent mode would definitely come in handy for multimedia consumption and able to prop up easily.

      • +3

Yeah it's also only $1000, not $1500,$2000 or $2500 like some of the "premium" competitors.

If there was one thing I had to sacrifice on a "cheaper" laptop, it would be weight. But I understand some people being ultra lightweight might be higher on their list of "must haves".

    • How would this compare to that recent Lenovo deal? It was $1,500-$1,700.

      This looks pretty solid.

  • Wow, this is good price

  • +3

Fuiyohhhhh Insane specs for the money

  • +1

Seems quite juicy for the price, too bad I don't need a new laptop.

  • Can i use external graphics card with this since it has Thunderbolt so can use as gaming rig?

    • Yes.
GPU prices are slowly coming back to GTX-10 levels of competitiveness. Which means eGPU are valid setups.

The issue is you need an enclosure box (holds the card, has a PSU, and talks with USB4/TB3/TB4). And the normal ones are expensive, and the good ones are hard to find. The regular priced ones are extremely cheap/flimsy that it's not worth using. Normally this front is pushed forwards by the OSX crowd, but that's all changed with the new macOS Platform with M1+ chips.

If anyone knows a solution that's actually competitive in quality and price, comment below.

  • Literally JUST got a new laptop, but still tempted

    and its OOS

      • +16

I did use the report feature u (mod: edited)! But i also chose to comment on it aswell so other fellow bargainers can see before the mod change the status of the deal!

        • +1

          "u jackass!" made me LOL

        • -7

Oh, when I read your comment there was no reports so you must have done it after. I guess it was more important to quickly grab that comment karma first.

  • Man, as soon as i check it, it's OOS and i'm like here every hour or so!

    • what is OOS?
Edit: got it. out of stock (thanks Ridiculous Panda)

Are you serious this polycarbonate PoC is a bargain

You can get a Lenovo Yoga or Flex for a little more or a Latitude 2 in 1

    • +1

Similar or better specs? The last deal was like $1,700 which is nearly double this

    • +2

Link me the deal then mate

      • +1

The recent Lenovo Yoga 7 14" Gen 7 2in1,AMD Ryzen deals.

I wonder how the CPU compare? They were $500+ more.

However, way better GPU and CPU I imagine?

This deal for 1k does seem solid.

  • OOS

    • what is OOS?

      • +1

Out of stock. You asked twice but could’ve googled it.

        • +12

Thanks. I did google & most results were like 'Occupational overuse syndrome' which confused me even more. I dont want a laptop with some syndrome. I have enough syndromes already.

      • +4

Oos oos farken come on, oos oos ya dog

        • put em up oos oos

  • Too bad already ordered surface pro 8 with half the SSD size and inferior processor for almost double the price.

Wish this came out one day earlier!

    • Don’t worry your surface is tons better this will break within a couple of months

      • Thanks your comment makes feel much better

        • +1

There you go you will live happily ever after now

      • Is the build quality that bad?

    • +1

dw, the surface is half the weight of this one. So that's a win for u there

  • Wow… really tempted price for specs.

Actually, I was thinking about buying NUC M15 i7 touch 11gen, but if I can buy it at this price, I will definitely buy this product. Plz back in stock soon…

  • Is it better than hp envy x360?

    • It's better just by not being a HP.

  • +3

This is one of those once in a year deals where it is too good to be true but it is true

  • 60hz but otherwise friggen amazing specs for price. I want one :')

    • no graphics card so not gonna get much use out anything higher

  • Any chance of a restock?

  • +1

Here to hopefully get a heads-up from someone when (if) back in stock.

  • Nice find

  • Any of you lucky buggers realise you dont actually need this and want to flip it for a quick profit… Hollar at my inbox x

  • I bought this one month ago for $1199…

    • Same specs? Please share your thoughts about the laptop, is it worth $1.2k?

      • I'm very curious too about the specs of @Winston929's purchase too as their are so many variants- and the performance and overall feedback.

This is a QHD+ with an i5 1240P and 1tb pcie x4 nvme ssd… MSI branded and a two-in-one—- outstanding value anywhere under 1.5k imo.

If I was guessing I'd assume if you got for $1199 on sale with FHD1080p and 512gb ssd.. and 8 or maybe 16gb ram? Am I wrong?

  • I think it's worth the price for 1.5~1.6k.

  • Got mine, it only booted once and now I'm returning it

    • Why ?

      • It no longer boots

        • Oh no, been using mine since yesterday and first impressions are pretty good. Works well and nice to look at as well as size is decent.
          No issues so far !

          • @Umar511986: Got quite hot (sitting on desk). I'd suggest updating your bios if you haven't done so already something on the forums around the fans not running at the right speeds to match temps. Honestly I'd be happy for a replacement but they said send back for a refund
