You said hey man, Don't forget to apply the 10% voucher.
I say hey mix, dont forget to apply for house insurance.

    • House insurance, pah. Didn't you see "provide 365-Day Warranty covers a wide variety of mishaps"

  • +1

    This deal will explode

  • +1

This charger was only $21 last week with coupon

    • +2

Did you post about this deal to others could have taken advantage of the low price?

      • -1

No, I wanted to but Heymix doesn’t seem to resonate well here at Ozbargain so I hesitated. In hindsight I also regret not buying one tbh lol

  • +1

Such an explosively flaming hot deal

  • So, no Australian Electrical Safely Approval?
Hence all the comments about insurance, flaming hot, explosive?

    • More so posts/comments from other Ozbargainers about theirs catching fire or exploding….

      • Could you post some links for me to read through them?

        • What's most interesting is the posts that Heymix Haters (HH) highlight to prove their point, such as OzB frowny has linked about
10 Amazon reviews all 1 star, but what "frowny" doesn't state is 6 of them are unverified purchases,
so the people didn't even buy the Heymix item that they're giving 1⭐star!!
The most common review HH refer to is the Mary, blasted!⭐ who absolutely rips into this Heymix charger,
saying it caught fire etc, but on closer inspection there's 2 issues that cry foul.
The first two times she buys a Zyron product, she states that "Compact and powerful 5⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐.
A week later she buys another Zyron product and then states "In the new world of USB C, Zyron has nailed it!, 5⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐".
Then less than 2 months later what does she do after buying 2 fantastic Zyron GAN chargers,
Oh she buys the competitors Heymix GAN charger and Oh my goodness she says it literally blew up straight away.
But not only this, if you have an even closer look, she didn't even buy the product, it's the only purchase she made that does not state
"verified purchase"!! That has to be an incredibly dodgey review and a lot of OzBargainers know this but still neg vote then link the review.
If you type in Heymix on Amazon you'll notice that most of their products are SAA approved and most Heymix items are 4+ stars.
I've never bought a Heymix product, they seem like average products at a cheap price.
But what I wouldn't trust is reviews from "unverified purchases" and the comments from several OzBers here
who neg vote every deal that pops up from Heymix no matter what the deal/product is.

        • +1

There is undoubtedly some dodginess around some Amazon reviews. Looking at profiles of reviewers on these products raises red flags. With Heymix there are enough reviews with verified purchases to be worried.

Have a read about what the Ozbargain community says about them:

Find a charger from a reputable brand which has similar reviews in the same quantity as Heymix

@ihfree: So more links to unverified purchases, @ihfree WHY?? This just proves my point that there are certain Ozbers (I'm looking at you @ihfree) that will spend a lot of their time scouring the internet for unverified purchases of Heymix products!!
While no review system is perfect, the Amazon one of making a purchase qualifies you to leave a review is better than most.
Amazon has kicked companies out of Amazon for trying to manipulate the review system. So they are trying to make the system work. You @ihfree will just copy/paste then link anything that makes Heymix look bad. Why don't you ask the people in the links that you put up if they've put a 1 star review for the product on Amazon. If you're going to put up then you should be able to back it up!!

            • @PukeyLuke:

… spend a lot of their time..

Not really, research is done now, so I may as well share it. People can make the decision as to how legitimate Ozbargain comments are vs Amazon verified purchases. In addition to the safety aspect, there's also an e-waste aspect.

If people just lied about product experiences here, you'd expect that to be more evenly distributed. It's not, which once again leads to…

…the Heymix challenge on Ozbargain for PukeyLukey

Find a reputable brand of charger that has been posted on Ozbargain with similar Ozbargain comments in a similar quantity.

            • @PukeyLuke: This is such a dumb take. You really sound like some sort of shill with an agenda if you’re just going to choose to ignore this data.

None of your points in all of your comment history have any points that actually address this pattern of issues present with heymix chargers but instead point to other things.

The matter of fact is that chargers should not be blowing up in standard use ever. Period.

What you might not understand (because it’s apparent you have a limited understanding of power supply design which I’m not faulting you for) is that this happening multiple times over this period, even if it is only this many times out of ALL CHARGERS SOLD IN AUSTRALIA, is still a concerning amount of failure. Modern chargers should not be blowing up internally or tripping breakers or even having inconsistent charging patterns that have been described. There’s clearly some cheap parts being used in some cases and lots of standards and best practices not being met. In fact just the wall outlet is not compliant in Australia as it doesn’t have the insulation on the prongs, increasing electrocution risk for users.

If you go through aliexpress where these are sold in larger quantities, you will find more data about a concerning pattern and one that stands out is that there are also issues pertaining to abnormally high power draw when not in use, further indicating some sort of dodgy works occurring internally.

What does this mean? Lots of people have chargers that are working fine, and some have ones that are blowing up. This is likely some sort if quality control issues if this isn’t persistent in every unit. But this only proves op’s point that there is some dodgyness going around, and you disregarding this is at the least disingenuous or more likely actually harmful ignorance. This is also stuff that likely isn’t always going to come up in reviews as a delayed onset of failure is less likely to be mentioned by people who have already left reviews, and that most people will assume they have a one iff dodgy unit and were just unlucky. There aren’t really great ways to keep track of failure modes like this other than anecdotal data.

Fyi, I have half a dozen of their chargers still because when they do work they are great.

              • @SmoothCactus: I'm sorry you struggled to understand the technical aspect of it, which I'm not faulting you for.
I'm not sure why you think I'm a shill, I've already stated that I have no interest in buying Heymix as they seem at best average products.
But what I do recognise is fake comments and reviews, in particular reviews that OzBargain commenters neg voters have pointed out, but they turn out to be unverified reviews, and they don't state that, in fact 6 out of 10 reviews that people linked to were unverified.
Considering well over 95% of Amazon reviews are verified, does it not seem odd that so many of the 1 star reviews are unverified.
If you can't work that out then that's your problem not mine, BTW late to the party!!

          • @ihfree: @The Heymix challenge

            https://www.amazon.com.au/product-reviews/B08JHJ4BW8/ref=acr…

            https://www.amazon.com.au/Belkin-BoostCharge-4-Port-Charger-…

No claims of fire but some of them failing

I think the thing to note is there seems to be a disproportionate representation of HEYMIX as dangerous or poor QC. Whether this is founded in truth or not it doesn't change the fact that the statements exist and therefore should have greater caution when purchasing them.

I think I will return the charger (that has already arived today RIP)

          • -1

@ihfree: Zyron Tech Australia, lifetime feedback on Amazon 91%………90 day feedback 77%
HEYMIX TECH,……..lifetime feedback on Amazon 98%………90 day feedback 100%
So Heymix over a lifetime has 2% of customers unhappy, where Zyron has 9% unhappy. Zyron customers are over 4X
more likely to be unhappy with their purchase than Heymix. BTW @ihfree Thanks for the free Heymix challenge win!!

            • @PukeyLuke: Reputable brand.

            • @PukeyLuke: Also, which seller? This one is sold by ChargerLab which has 1 feedback.

This is a complete lie by omission. There are multiple brands that sell Heymix. If we dive into sellers that sell Heymix, the picture isn't as rosy as you make it out to be.

Seller 90 Day 90 Day Count Lifetime Lifetime Count
              ChargerLab 100% 1 100% 1
              SAA Selection 94% 117 97% 219
              Heymix 95% 173 93% 417
              Heymix Tech 100% 202 98% 356
              YesDex 94% 507 93% 1,228
              Amazan Choice 92% 24 89% 100
              AU Select 100% 3 94% 3540

At the very least, this is some interesting new data.

You're really starting to act like a Heymix shill when you consider

              • Your lies by omission
              • Two-thirds of your upvote history in the past two weeks is Heymix
              • You recommend Heymix on other charger deals
              • Your comparisons between Zyron and Heymix in the same style of Amazon reviews that you're critical of
              • -1

@ihfree: Wow I'm living rent free in your head!! I like all the work you did to impress me, but facts are facts my friend.
You gave me the "Heymix Challenge" I responded, then you complain that Zyron is not reputable, yet you comment on their page,
and never vote Zyron down. You can't propose a challenge then complain of lying or cheating when you lose.
I'll see you at the next Heymix post.

                • @PukeyLuke: Zyron isn't reputable.

I commented on a Zyron post… so what? That doesn't mean I think they're reputable. Feel free to do another search through my voting history and check how many Zyron posts I've upvoted.

I've never recommended them or commented favourably about the brand. I do remember recommending against one of their chargers somewhere.

  • Newb Q. iPhone 12 needs 20w for normal speed charging. Which port on this supports 20w charging?

    • +1

Most probably either of the two Type-C.

  • "H Heymix store", Heymix professional store, Heymix tech store. There are so many stores with similar names selling these.

In my opinion, this is not a good purchase given there are no reviews. Have a look at previous Heymix deals to get an idea about what issues Ozbargain users have had and what their bad products look like and make up your own mind.

If you have to buy Heymix, buy one that has a reasonable number of reviews.

  • Please no more Heymix, it's not a bargain for unreliable product!

  • Would this be any good for a dell inspiron?

  • Hi everyone! I was one of those who bought this item for $21.49 with a 50% coupon. The charger fried the circuits inside my power bank, producing a horrid chemical burnt smell. My power bank doesn’t work anymore, it doesn’t charge or charge other devices. I am left to guess that the charger supplied an excessively high voltage. I brought this up with the seller but they asked for evidence since they didn’t believe me. They proceeded to ask irrelevant questions and mention “house insurance”? They have not been very helpful at all. After that, they removed the product from their seller’s product list, most likely due to the 1 star review I left on their item. This is why the link for the black variant no longer works (attached to the OP’s post), but the white variant is still for sale…

    • Heres a reply from the seller Chargerking:

“:) Dear [my name] we will never dodge anything about the customer "true" experience of the product. As I said we take full responsibility for what we sold. As ur great helpful report, the product has been deactived by Amazon side. But no worry. I will let the Amazon check help to have a survey and I think they will have a unbiased result. On the other hand. Until now you still not show the detail info about your powerbank or any other useful info to us:)
Pls let me know more detail of the product problem and I still suggest let our 3rd-party in-home insurance services if you need assistance :) They will help you check your loss and get the insurance benefits”
