Hi, it's 543.99 with non ebay plus members

Free trial available, or pay $4.99 for a month and then cancel, would still be cheaper

Or you know, you could say thanks for pointing that out, and actually offer a proper bargain, not just the usual spam…?

        There's a thought

Apparently they are different models: RLK8-520D4-A (eBay Link) vs RLK8-520D4 (OP Link)

Your eBay link appears to be better model, according to this Reddit post

the -A version has the AI smart person/vehicle detection (any of their model numbers that end in an A have that feature), the other doesn't

However Rep mentions Person/Vehicle Detection in the description and product page, so 🤷‍♂️

Still waiting on the PoE doorbells…

  • Are these actually any good?
Any one here have any actual use feedback?

    • I have a different model of their 5mp camera with person detection. They are good. Cameras don't need any upkeep, and app works reliably. Personally I didn't bother with the NVR. I record to SD card on each camera and take video on movement.

    • They are ok but don’t expect there is any after sales services from them.

    • Only annoyance is motion at night is blurry but this seems to be the case with most IR cameras at night.

    • I bought one a couple of years ago so it's not this exact model (No Person/Vehicle Detection) but I'd say it'd be comparable. I'm generally happy with mine now but beware the 5MP cameras don't produce a nice widescreen picture like shown in their examples. The 5MP cameras have a 4:3 aspect ratio, not 16:9 as you'd expect in 2022. So if you don't mind seeing everything stretched on your nice big widescreen TV or monitor then it probably doesn't matter. For me I had to buy two extra 16:9 aspect ratio cameras to replace two of the 5MP cameras where I really wanted the wider picture. Better to spend more initially and get the 4K (8MP) camera kit. The other small issue for me is the IR night vision produces very uneven lighting with a prominent bright spot in the centre. It does the job just not very elegantly.

  • How much for each additional camera

    • Extra cameras are about $80 each.

This is more or less the normal price. I've been watching the price of this specific package for ~12 months and it's always about $530 and always "on special."

I have seen it as low as $500 before, and bought one for a friend. It was an easy install, and Reolink's packages are widely regarded as excellent value.

  • I bought this in December 2020 for $390, just be in mind these cameras only work with reolink and vice versa

  • Any deals on the 4K cameras?

    • +1

This is the "Flash Sale" 4k package: https://reolink.com/au/product/rlk8-800d4/
These packages are pretty much constantly on sale - it's almost impossible to pay full retail price

But check against eBay and AliExpress packages, since they're usually on sale there as well. Depending on their current deals, they're often cheaper again.
