4K UHD VIDEOS WITH 180° VIEWING ANGLE: Combining two lenses into one view, this dual-lens security camera provides an 180° panorama and covers much finer details in 4K resolution with less distortion. An ideal choice for your backyard or driveway. NOTE: Reolink NVR with H3MB18/N2MB02/N3MB01 Hw previews this camera in 6MP resolution. Please first upgrade your Reolink NVR to the latest firmware version for a better preview performance.

I have one of these, and it is surprisingly awesome! I watched a YouTube review and it was pretty good. I'm using it, and it covers the entire front of my house, which I previously had covered by 4 cameras, down into 1.

The review did say that it consumes 2 channels of an NVR as well since it has two cameras. But it is shown as one camera on your monitoring etc.

This model is better and more flexible for mounting, but does stand out a bit more. There is the Duo 2V and 3V which look great, but they need reasonable elevation depending on what you want to view.

Example images:

Here is a Video as well with audio

Scenarios I've used them in:

  • Covering the length of a 12m shed. Mounted it in the middle of the shed. The little spot lights are handy at night.
  • Covering the front of premises, buildings or sheds (like above)

Mod Edit: Price has dropped to $146.99

  • Is this still pretty much the best Duo POE version at the moment?

    • It actually gives a single wide feed instead of two joined by software, so… yes.

      • +1

        best Duo POE

There are the Duo 2V and 3V units. The Duo 2 (in my opinion) is the best Duo Series Model. However, some other applications might suite the 2V and 3V better.

    • +1

I would say so, yes. The Duo 2V and 3V are still good, but only in certain applications. Thats my view of it.

  • I guess this can't be mounted on the eaves, it's only wall mount?

  • Looks good! Any idea if it works with an older Dahua NVR, using onvif?

  • Is this camera works with NIKVISON NVR recroder?
if so when record as one image or two images? I mean two video signals?

The floodlight version seems to be at a great price too

      ATL according to the camels

    • +2

Yep, using these for front of garage driveway and rear of garage roller door.

Love the fact I have sensor 'flood' lights incorporated to my cameras.

I'm on the Reolink ecosystem for door bell and other turret cameras. Great tech, can't complain!

if anyone uses this camera or other reolink cameras with blueiris can comment on compatibility ?

  • @geekcohen - when you say 2 channels on NVR, does that mean 2 ethernet cables comes out of camera and occupies 2 ports at the back of NVR?

    • +1

Neither. 1 Ethernet Cable into the NVR and out of the Camera into the NVR. But it occupies two channels within the NVR unit.

I bought one on 18/6/24 from Aliexpress for $36.55usd and another on 26/6/24 for $44.97usd

They are great cameras but do note they have been significantly cheaper before delivered via local AU Reolink warehouse when sold by Aliexpress

    • Those are amazing prices for a Duo2!

I bought the Duo2 last month (June 2025) for $72.31USD (~$108AUD) & I thought I got a good deal! (Also got 23% cashback between AE & TCB on top of that)

  • How do these go with licence plates at night?

    • +1

Just like every other camera. Most often, not great because of the light generated by the vehicle. I will try and get an example.

    • No camera in this price bracket does “well” in that scenario..

Look up ‘TheHookup’ YouTube channel for brilliant comparisons.

You could look at the CX810 for colour night vision, or one of these duo2’s with spotlights instead of night vision. Or you could look at a Trackmix or other zoomable/PTZ camera for close up pics & LPR.

    • Yep, said that in the 1st line of the description

Use coupon code jojol10 to get the price down to $132.29

I have one of these, and I get a significant issue with insects, which I do not get with my other reolink cameras. That being said it is excellent for a wide angle view. Resolution is lacking for close up views. The duo 3 would be a better option if you wanted detail.

Its great for broader views but i certainly recommend additional cameras for better detail. Works especially well paired with the trackmix duo

    • Its great for broader views but i certainly recommend additional cameras for better detail.

      Exactly this.

    • The Duo 3 is $190 https://www.amazon.com.au/REOLINK-Dual-Lens-Panoramic-Detect…
Honestly I would pay the extra. The Duo 2 does seem a little limited with it's much lower resolution.

I'm waiting for a Duo 3 with floodlights. Also waiting for more ColorX models, especially Trackmixes.

  • OP, what's the rough distance between the camera and the garbage truck?
I'm assuming the video is just your usual compressed YT upload.
Does the raw video show better quality? Are the garbo's facial features easily recognisable?

    • OP, what's the rough distance between the camera and the garbage truck?

      About 20m.

I'm assuming the video is just your usual compressed YT upload.

      I believe so.

Does the raw video show better quality?

      Maybe slightly.

Are the garbo's facial features easily recognisable?

Not really. You can tell he is wearing glasses, that would be about it.

    • For an in depth review look at the channel named ‘TheHookup’ on YouTube. He does brilliant reviews on heaps of cameras and tech

  • installed today, and only just noticed this:

    Resolution
    4608×1728(8 Megapixels)@20FPS

If someone is walking by it, don't expect to get there face unless they stop, pretty disappointing such a low frame rate, should have paid closer attention, my own fault.

but this should get more attention!

dont know why they cant do gigabit internet if bandwidth is a concern (and higher bandwidth on the NVR) - guess its all the hardware to capture and encode too though.

man even ther ancient rlc-410 it replaced was 30 fps.
