        You're the kid at school who dobbed every 2 seconds, and got beat up by bullies for years. Now you're damaged goods.

        I've ridden my e-scooter directly next to Vic police on the footpath in Melbourne CBD at Southern Cross station and they looked and didn't even flinch or say anything. Same at other locations in Vic. E-scooters are here to stay. Get used to it.

            The End. The rest is about dealing with people who are irresponsible riders. Like anything in the world, including the police force itself, you can find misconduct and bad behaviour. Should we ban the entire police force because every year a handful are sacked for misconduct and corruption?

            The vast majority of police are doing the right thing, and the vast majority of scooter riders don't harm others or cause problems. They are simply going from A to B, and ultimately society benefits when less time is spent stuck in traffic or waiting for a bus.

    I also don't see this as a good deal as there are post that were $100+ cheaper, so some may wish to wait

            @appxl: Yeah jv sure is anti scooters, I don't have one but like any mode of transportation there will be idiots who do the wrong thing. And then they should cop the consequences if they get caught. But most do the right thing so people should lighten up a bit.
