Probably soldered RAM and unexpandable at that price, hard pass, prolly end up at a school with no budget under a volume deal, or more likely straight to a landfill near you….
I am sure even gen 39 CPU's will come with only 8GB of RAM.
A new laptop with:
- 2x4GB RAM and no indication this isn't soldered
- Wifi 5
- 720p webcam
- 250 nits, 45% NTSC screen
- No fingerprint reader
And in true HP fashion they've decided to completely screw up the trackpad placement. I get it's "only" $800 but nowhere near as good as the other deals posted recently.
Personally I'd avoid any of these HPs that aren't from a particular line as they always tend to get issues quickly..
