MOD: As pointed out by several members in this thread, it looks like the APN is for a Samsung galaxy ace, not nexus. The OP seems to be lucky enough for what is most likely to be a human error. Please do not call Kmart to ask for this deal.

i went to local kmart store and found this amazing deal samsung Google galaxy nexus only for 249.
i think this deal is going to be ozbargained so grab it while you can some of the kmart are open 24 hrs. none left at Werribee plaza as i grabbed the one. good luck

ok guys just got back from my dinner and saw all the negative comments. one thing for sure i am not trolling and i am truly honest in posting this deal and what i felt that i should share this deal with fellow ozbargainers as i have been benefited from a number of deals in the past. i double checked the barcode it is 8806071731605 and it is galaxy nexus as i have started using the phone and i do have a basic knowledge so i can understand what is ace and what is nexus. it runs ICS out of the box. i am not how it ended up in kmart and i was probably lucky when i decided to check the audio visual section while i was there to buy me a new chair. i called my brother up and he also said it was unbelievable deal and he said i must get one.

I shared the deal with the spirit of OZbargain as soon as i got home. then quickly after i went out for a dinner. AND YES i am a bit disappointed by all the negative comments.

      If you google the UPC it will link to the HN page for the galaxy ace… don't think they'll be convinced by a photo of a galaxy nexus next to the receipt.

      The 3G version comes in 16GB and 32GB variants. The 32GB is now discontinued.

    This must be an error. Firstly, the docket says "SS Galaxy", and does not mention "Nexus".

    Also, if you Google the barcode on the docket (8806071731605), you'll get hits for the Samsung Galaxy Ace, NOT the Samsung Galaxy Nexus.

    If you search up prices for the Samsung Galaxy Ace, you'll find that they go for somewhere around the $250 mark.

    IMO the OP got lucky. I have a feeling others will have a difficult time in getting this deal elsewhere, though in true OzBargain spirit, please prove me wrong!

      look i got confused as well. i double checked with the sales guy. as there is no difference between the processor of ACe and my current phone htc chacha. so i asked him to check the price for both and both were the same and i picked galaxy nexus because of the dual core processor and bigger screen.

    on a side note saw HTC cha Cha at Big w for $29 on clearance. but sold out at werribee big w it is an amazing deal as well if someone dont need a super phone. i bought mine 3 weeks ago from dickies for 129. so a good deal worth checking

      Giving the OP the benefit of the doubt, I'd prefer that users post deals rather than not share them at all. If it turns out to be an error, they are normally sussed out pretty quickly anyway (as has been the case here).

    As far as I know, Kmart doesnt sell the Galaxy Nexus. It shouldnt even be on the system. The APN on the receipt is for the Galaxy Ace. No idea how that kmart had one in stock. Possible that one was sent as a mistake from the supplier, and an unsuspecting kmart assistant put it through at the Ace price just to sell it.

      yeah guys trust me. i didnt believe it either when he said 250. for a moment i thought it was nexus S i shown it to my brother and he said it was unbelievable deal. you just need to check your local kmart store without too much publicity. i havent bought Galaxy Ace i have got Nexus and my brother bought one Nexus so there were definitely 2 in stock at kmart and in the unlocked section. and as mentioned in the post none now as both of us got one.

    Never seen the Galaxy Nexus behind the display doors at my local Kmart's (Taylors Lakes).
    Bought a Nexus S from Dick Smith for $250 on Friday though - however was the last one.
    If this deal were true, I would've cracked it. ;)

    Just got in from a dash to Kmart Burwood East (Vic).
    They say, no such deal. The poor guy behind the counter was under seige, told me he had 5 phone enquiries in about 8 mins. DO NOT RING HIM! Also said, they had never stocked the phone, so far as he knew.
    The deal makes sense, to clear stock of the Nexus to allow people to pick up the SII when they decide to run that out. Don't forget, the next official Google phone will not be a Samsung, it will be a Motorola.
    If you got one at $249 you are one lucky lad. Nothing for the rest of us!
