MOD: As pointed out by several members in this thread, it looks like the APN is for a Samsung galaxy ace, not nexus. The OP seems to be lucky enough for what is most likely to be a human error. Please do not call Kmart to ask for this deal.

i went to local kmart store and found this amazing deal samsung Google galaxy nexus only for 249.
i think this deal is going to be ozbargained so grab it while you can some of the kmart are open 24 hrs. none left at Werribee plaza as i grabbed the one. good luck

ok guys just got back from my dinner and saw all the negative comments. one thing for sure i am not trolling and i am truly honest in posting this deal and what i felt that i should share this deal with fellow ozbargainers as i have been benefited from a number of deals in the past. i double checked the barcode it is 8806071731605 and it is galaxy nexus as i have started using the phone and i do have a basic knowledge so i can understand what is ace and what is nexus. it runs ICS out of the box. i am not how it ended up in kmart and i was probably lucky when i decided to check the audio visual section while i was there to buy me a new chair. i called my brother up and he also said it was unbelievable deal and he said i must get one.

I shared the deal with the spirit of OZbargain as soon as i got home. then quickly after i went out for a dinner. AND YES i am a bit disappointed by all the negative comments.

    The poster should be banned for trolling. I can confirm that, from visiting 2 KMarts in the last 30 minutes that they dont stock Galaxy Nexus.

        trust me guys it is galaxy nexus, no need for that many negative comments. I am so happy to be able get this deal. just try the local kmarts. but i think even if they had by now they would have removed it or staff would have taken it. sorry for any troubles.

          I think Nexus may not available in NSW but may be in VIC and you got luck they have the wrong barcode on it.

          Want to ask again is that barcode printed on the box or is a label stick on it? If it is a label stick on it may be somebody put the wrong label.

    Yeah just post the barcode on the back of the box. That should clear thing out. Also, next time you post any receipt, make sure to blur out any name. I am sure this Micheal manager guy will get in a lot of trouble if what you said is true and he sold you a Nexus @ the price of an Ace.

    i called on my mate who live next to werribee plaza, he told me that they staff in werribee plaza cant find any nexus on their system.

    OP, please take a picture on the back of the box, if not we (or maybe just me) thinking that you only get ACE from KMART and put nexus box side by side with ACE receipt and try to test all of our intelligent

          As suspected, the reason why you were able to get such a great deal was due to human error. Someone at Kmart stuck the barcode for the Galaxy Ace over the original Galaxy Nexus barcode. That is why they both scanned at the same price when the attended checked the prices for you.

          Given that others have said that Kmart don't stock the Galaxy Nexus, it seems someone at Samsung has also stuffed up in sending Kmart some Galaxy Nexus units when they weren't supposed to. All in all, it seems this was one of those 'perfect storm' situations, where a series of errors led to a one-off mega bargain.

          (Alternatively, the phones could have been incorrectly barcoded on Samsung's end, with the stock filtering through to the Werribee Kmart as part of the normal supply chain process, as those units would have been mis-identified as Galaxy Aces)

          All I can say is, well played! You sure are one lucky person! Hope you enjoy your bargain-basement phone! :)

          But if it was done at werribee why not other places? Why kmart rep commented that they dont stock nexus? I am still not convinced that no one could find anywhere across. Australia.

          Ok ı got it now. I was cursing myself 10 minutes before getting to kmart as i was in bigw and saw htc chacha for 29 which i bought 3 weeks ago from dickies for 129. Back than bigw was selling chacha for 149 and refused to price match with kmart (99). Anyway to cut the long story short bigw didnt have anymore chacha left for 29 so i thought stuff it i am not buying anything from bigw this evening went to kmart to compare a chair for my study didnt like one so went to audio visual to check any deals and saw nexus. First i thought it was nexus s but then had a look again and thought this is an expebsive phone. Check the pricing was 250 checked with my brother he could not believe. Got 1 for myself. Waited until my brother rushed in got one for himself came home and straight took the picture and posted here. At start i was impressed by the positive replies. Went for dinner came back and saw everyone negging. I thout why this happening but i finally got it why there might only be this 2 units that me and my brother got. Or as you said there might be more and the staff is just calling them galaxy ace as they showup in the system. If it latter than there might be some hope for fellow bargainers to grab one. So be aware if you spot one it will probably be 249. End of story.

          Well there you go, there barcode clear things up. Samsung stuff up, send Nexus to kmart instead of Ace. Kmart staff slab on an Ace barcode to the Nexus. The nexus was sold at the Ace.
          You got yourself a great bargain.
          But you got to be carefull. These sort of human error do not happen everywhere and assume this is the same at every kmart store.

          Barcode label on barcodes, 3 barcodes on one box ……. Somebody put a wrong barcode label.

          Hopefully Samsung stuffed up not Kmart themselves, otherwise Mr. Michael may get into trouble.

          Enjoy your bargain and I have just bought this phone, very happy. Check setting about phone see if you have yaku and latest 4.0.4 version. If not update it.

    i think there should be a standard privacy practice on ozbargains. blank out any identifying information on individuals… maybe scott should see this enforced, don't want people to get the shits and go all legal-suits on your asses.
