  • Thanks op ordered one

  • Any deals on 2m USB C cables?

  • Hey OP. Which cashback site are you referring to?

    • +1

Cashrewards since they're higher at 5%

  • This for iPhone 14 pro?

  • MFI?

  • When I enter the code, it’s saying “These codes have already been claimed.”

Looks like there was an allocation which has now been exhausted?

    • Yup seems so. They often add more.

Limited reviews, but one showing a measurement of 1.8A instead of the advertised 3A.

This cable might only peak at 16.2 W.

    • Or maybe that person doesn't know how charging works. It doesn't stay at the peak power level consistently.

      • In a cable tester?

        • That's not a cable tester, it's a power bank and we don't even know the model. So do we assume the power bank supports PD20W and PD27W power profiles? I seriously doubt it supports the latter.

Plus notice how the power bank says "in". So the person is presumably charging the power bank via the lightning port. A power bank with lightning input isn't going to support PD20W or PD27W.

            @Clear: That's still 20% under spec.

            Is this a certified cable?

            • @jasswolf: You do realise that when charging it doesn't stay at the same voltage and amperage level the whole time right? It goes up and down.

Either way the Russian reviewer isn't charging an iPhone or iPad, let alone measuring properly so his whole argument is null.

@Clear: Bare minimum I'm assuming they're showing the peak current value.

But again, if these aren't certified, we have zero guarantees.

@jasswolf: Those kind of power banks will show the current draw. So again it's not accurate.
