  • Can we buy this on a plan and only keep phone plan? (go with another provider for sim)

  • I bought an A33 from Officeworks on Thursday for $475 (price beat Amazon), should I ask them if they can refund me the difference (would they do this?) or should I just change-of-mind return it? Haven't opened it or anything.

If you still can, I would return change of mind and try a pricebeat from different officeworks store.

Otherwise if they give refund just purchase from Telstra.

        Sounds like a plan, thanks!

  • Do you think worth getting the Pixel 6a or wait for Pixel 7?

    • Depends on the phone screen size and your budget.

      • Haha, fantastic straight to the point spot on comment.

    hi
Thinking of getting a33 in case my galaxy warranty is rejected.

Does telstra day apply to the rewards store?

    • I would like to know too!

The x5 pro is not 1199 it's 1599. I just went to the Telstra store and confirmed the price

    https://ibb.co/fnddyfD

    • Website is live with $1199.

    • It is $1199 on their website though.

  • Wow, what a terrible purchasing experience. Went to the store and told I have to book an appointment (soonest was 45 minutes). I just wanted to buy it outright.

Went home and purchased on their website. That sucked too due to entering license details and submitting credit check even though I was buying outright.

Yep, not idea….why do we have to do credit check etc to buy outright ffs.

    • No credit check done though

    A33 is a good price.

Tried Price match OW, JB, HN, Google Store.

Nobody agreed to reduce the price for https://www.telstra.com.au/mobile-phones/mobiles-on-a-plan/g… to $549

I managed to price match at JB via online chat for the Telstra deal on iPhone last time.

JB Hifi refused to price match a Pixel 6a

    • You should do it via chat

Got officeworks to price match the a33 down to $331.55.

    • Nice did you do it onstore or over the phone? They said they won't price match the A33 for me due to "Needing a Telstra ID to purchase the phone"

      • Instore

        • Ahh right. That's where I went wrong… Was trying to line one up for my lunch break and saw they had "low stock" for that store.

          • +1

@turna: Showed low stock at my store but just went in and tried my luck anyway

            • @joshr1pp3r: Got turned down at OW.
"Because it says I need a Telstra service "
              Couldn't argue too much

              • @triplea: Same here. Refused the price match. I had 3 staff members at OW looking at it but none agreed that it could be obtained without a Telstra service.

  • Any deals on the pixel buds pro?

Tried to sign up to purchase outright but got an error:

    "Unable to process your order

You need to have a service with us to buy a device outright. If you don't have a service, you can only purchase a device outright with a plan. "

Ah well, guess it's a sign. Their loss more than mine I'm sure.

    • I do not have any services with Telstra at the moment but successfully bought A33 outright and received order confirmation as well.

      • +1

But you have in the past? I just created an account today with no prior services. Get that error, couldn't be bothered with any hoops buying a service that may or may not make be eligible to save $10 on a phone I'm unsure about anyway.

        • i'm in same boat and about to give up…
