  Keep in mind GoPro won't send batteries without a camera from their online store to Australia, so the % discount you get on accessories with a GoPro subscription doesn't apply for batteries.

      I think Tim was just saying this as a reminder for people… People often buy a camera from Gopro and think they can grab some discounted batteries later, then discover Gopro wont ship batteries without a camera…

      This is a pretty good deal :) usually $90 from Gopro when shipped with a new camera…

        Yeah I bought the charger and battery from DigiDirect a few years ago for my Hero 9.
        The only downside is that this charger only charges 1 battery at a time other than that its great.

          @willy000: How is that a downside? It automatically switches to the second battery when the first one is done, meaning you get a charged battery faster?

            @bondiben: Yeah I’d rather one full battery quicker and leave the second charging than have two half-charged batts.

        DJI drones do the same thing when it comes to charging 3x batteries in their battery pack, it has smarts built-in to find out which of the 3 batteries has the highest charge then starts charging that battery first to get you one fully charged battery quicker

    If it works, keep doing it.

    I borrowed my friend's Gopro5 and loved it, I ended up buying a secondhand Gopro5 so I didn't need to play with variables/relearn how to use it.
