no, everyone so far has had 0 points come through on their card and anyone whose called up has been told to wait the 14 days. As of now, it seems like this deal is a hit and miss purely based on the ROI (3.5% return on the investment that you may have to chase it up multiple times with the rewards team)

Updates….tried 3 Woolies, no double dips (message pop up items not allowed) but split payment is ok as i used multiple coles vanila gift cards in one transactions.

  • +1

Bought $500 this evening. No points credited yet either. Will set reminder to follow up

  • No points on $500 gift card so far. Bought this morning.

  • Are gift cards allowed in the 10% off shop for woolies insurance members?

  • +1

Confirming I was able to buy $500 of. The TCN Him card with the eftpos card, so a nice little double dip.

But again points didn't come automatically.

    • That's great. did you use self checkout? Do you know if can buy eftpos card using eftpos?

      • Yes on self checkout. No idea if you can buy eftpos with eftpos, I suspect not.

  • Still no points as of 10 minutes ago, bought $500 variable. Oh well, will join others for follow up

  • no points after spending $500 — online chat said 14 business day for the points to be loaded

  • +1

Worthelss offer unless buying a $200+ card right?
Looked at many stores and all only had $50 or $100 with a $6 or $7 fee.
Good if you for some reason wanna buy this otherwise it's a loss of $1 or $2 for those denominations.
Is that correct or have I got it wrong?

    • $100 is a small profit, but really you want the variable load where you can put $500. I think they're sold out in most Woolies by now though.

      • Thanks for your reply.
Is $100 has $7 fee, how is there a profit?
        $100 gives 1000 points which is $5

        What am I missing?

        • yeah sorry forgot this is only 10x points, no profit on $100

  • If I bought $500, I'll get benefit $17.5 (value of points), can I use it to shop in Aldi?

    • The perfect eftpos card can be used everywhere including Aldi.

  • +1

Tried to buy 2x $500 but there was no store manager present to approve the >$1000 so had to settle for 1x.

Also confirmed that they have started enforcing the restriction that you cannot double dip using another 638947 card.

    • did the points go through?

      • Not at checkout or yet but nor was I expecting them to since this also happened in the last deal

    • Who is enforcing the restriction? The staff, or the system?

      • +1

The system - I think one of the screens (self-checkout counter) said 'Item not allowed'

    • r u trying to buy that eftpos with same eftpos too? or buying other giftcard like TCN with eftpos?

      • eftpos with same eftpos

  • -1

Can you use a Wish gift card to buy the EFTPOS card?

    • +2

      You wish.

  • I just wondering when do we get points if we buy today these cards.

    • As per the description by the OP:

Bonus points can take up to 14 days to be loaded from date of purchase.

  • I tried to use only1 visa card which I bought from kmart in last promotion but Woolies don’t allow. I think they almost stop all the loopholes now…first they stopped using wish/Woolworth group gift card, then reward balance. This time they stop using eftpos gift card to buy another eftpos gift time (double dip) now only one visa gift card which i didn’t buy at Woolworth. Thank goodness, they have no stopped coles MasterCard yet.

    • you can go to another wooles —- i use only 1 visa in self check —- no signature required

I think you were using Visa Vanilla Card rather than only1 Visa.

        • oh you are right! yeah vanilla!

  • It says in terms and condition “one transaction a day?” So if u buy a $500 variable gift card Eftpos, then go back on the same day and buy another one , is that considered as 2 transactions so u won’t be entitled to the points?

    • I used in self checkout as well, no luck. I will try in another Woolworth next time. Lets see what happens!!!

  • Thanks OP. Just bought a $500 card. Hopefully the points post without too much fuss.

  • So tried doid the double dip at the self check out. That didnt work with eftpos card. The team member came up, after seeing this she scanned only one Tcn HIM card and tried doing a transaction which went through, just to check if it works.. She then did the 4 other TCN HIM transaction through credit card. But now the points were not awarded. For the rest of 4. What should i do.?

  • They didn’t charge card activation fee $7.95, saved almost $48 from fee. Total saved $ $150 (6*$25) from 6 variables card. Happy.

    • Well done if that worked, why was stage activation fee not charged? A type of teller?

      • Could be Glitch?? Happened with few people before.

        • Good glitch - curious to know if certain teller has the glitch or type of perfect card?

          • @Alekhine: If the teller works, use the eftpos card to buy a $500 card from Coles vanilla and then rebuy at woolies

            • +1

@Alekhine: Unfortunately vanilla card didn’t work.

              • @R n b: Ok
                Unlucky
Maybe get some Him and restaurant cards to increase discount

          • +1

@Alekhine: Basically I bought these cards from 5 different Woolworths, even i used different tellers in same Woolworths, all Cards are same. Everywhere i paid activation fee except last Woolworth i have been.so its only that Woolworth/teller from same Woolworth.

            • @R n b: Yes, good pot luck / sounds like you bought a lot - what is the endgame with the cards -> any strategy to use efficiently (to minimise chance of hacking)

              • +1

@Alekhine: These cards gonna use to pay my all the bills plus wait for coles MasterCard offer, either 10% or 2000 points.

                • @R n b: Good idea / how to use eftpos to pay bills?
I understand best ways to use debit cards, but eftpos, any suggestions/tips?

                  • +2

@Alekhine: Service nsw/SA….post office, kids school fee, council fee, parking fines, police fines easy to spend …bloody hard to save lol.

                • @R n b: Have the perfect cards been hacked to your knowledge?

                  • +1

@Alekhine: Its saving a/c, scammers need physical card like flybuys with pin. It can’t be used online. So almost impossible to hack.

                    • @R n b: Ok, is it easier to hack the debit cards (Coles MasterCard offer)?

                      • +1

@Alekhine: Yes, because scammers use online payment as they don’t need physical cards. They just need to guess some numbers.

                        • @R n b: The frustrating thing about this woolies offer is maybe having to chase rewards points
                          Thanks for the discussion
                          I upvoted all your comments/tips

                          • @Alekhine: Yes, normally they immediately provide points, only this time they didn’t. Very frustrating, hope it comes automatically within 14 days.

                            • @R n b: I am also hoping there is no muck around.
Points for HIM and Restaurant Card went on automatically if purchased without Perfect (when purchased at same time as Perfect then no points either)

            • @R n b: Check your receipt, the one without the fee and refuses to accept Vanilla card should be a Woolworths Metro.

              • @truetypezk: Yes.does it really mater where i bought it, Woolworth metro or normal Woolworth??

                • @R n b: Yes it matters. Metros have differently configured checkouts i think.

I know it's discussed up thread but I went back to woollies today and tried to use my $500 card purchased yesterday to buy a $450. No luck. It wouldn't work.

    • Yes, that is frustrating
Maybe just change to restaurant or Him cards (both of which are excellent and reliable cards)
That would work out to 13% off for nearly all restaurants )generally the best offer is 15% - although I did have ~25% off by having OW price beat an offer on 20% offer)
Combined with Entertainment book, we typically have 40-60% off certain food outlets

      • +1

It's OK, I didn't think it would work but wanted to give it a shot. If I get a chance before the promo ends I'll go and get another $500 card. Spending money on eftpos on petrol and groceries is easy enough.

        • Very easy

  • Bought two today on self checkout and the first didn't have a 7.95 fee, weird. Then the checkout person tried to tell me $1k is the limit, told her nah I've done over $1k before, she snapped back "no worries" and proceeded to sulk for some reason? super weird.

    • Didnot charge me again today…

      • Its weird because the first one didnt have the fee but the second did. the self checkout attendant asked why thats happening and I just said I dont know.

      • +1

        No way 😄

  • +1

    whats effective cashback after fee?

  • Anyone got points yet for the $500 cards?

    • Not yet

      • 14 days today. I guess they aren’t going to do the right thing. I have a photo of the stand at my local store with a picture of the card.

  • +2

    No

  • I got the same response, 14 business days. The Customer service is really bad. I mean who knows what peanuts they get paid to work but just gives them a bad name. Probably avoid these promos in the future. A neg from me

    • +1

"Yes, we only got peanuts so that we can only pass on peanut skin service to you."

    • I tried calling today. Apparently they were experiencing heavy volume of callers. After 30 mins on hold I hung up. Woolies 1. Me 0.

  • +3

Just spoke with them, and they are sticking to the 14 BUSINESS days.

Don't waste your time and breath contacting them until 3 weeks have elapsed from your purchase date.

(I have zero confidence they will credit the points automatically, so assume it will take us calling them in a week or so, but hey, never know your luck).

Please remember to check your points balance.

  • If the points post (and on that note making the waiting period business days and making it a multiple of 7 and not 5 is just a bit cheeky) I will have had a win because I just used the eftpos cards from this promotion to buy the discounted coles mastercards in the current promo. It felt really good as the transactions showed up as approved on the terminal in coles last night.

    • I did the same.

  • no points now

  • called wws (their livechat has been shutdown btw due to too many enquiries ? ), waited for 2 hours finally spoke to someone. He said the purchase I made on 5th of Oct will reach 14 business day by the end of today…so he cannot give me any bonus points but ask me to call back tomorrow

    Woolies 1000. Me 0.

    • What a pain. Sounds like the same guy I had and he was sure they’d be there after 14 business days. But I doubt.

  • +3

Common sense for them would dictate to just go through all transactions and give people the points (even if its manually).

They would rather people call in, wait on the phone for 2 hours, get frustrated and give up so they can basically pocket the fees.

What a disgrace of a company.

    • I totally agreed with you but seems common sense does not apply to certain customer service agents and their managers…

      • Coz they are paid by hour rate
And probably will get overtime payment if we all calling
They are not there to solve the problem, they don't give a s**t about our problem

  • Just called rewards customer support, they said people who purchase this gift card have to contact them for points. Their system not able to add points automatically for this deal at the moment.

    • and I've been putting on hold for half an hour… still no answer..

    • Of course. Which we always thought. Why can’t they do it in the first place.

  • purchased gift cards on 11/10 and have just received a "manual credit" for the points with no contact to everyday rewards.

    • nice, I got 1 too for the first I bought on 6/10, but still nothing for the second from the 10/10. Similar story for the Ultimate I bought the week after, got manual credit from 13/10 but still missed the one from 18/10. Well, will wait another week before calling them.

  • received "manual credit" for 8/10 purchase.
but still missing points for 11/10
