  • Can i use this for the dashcam?

    • +3

You're better off with an endurance card for video capture. This is fine for stills or intermittent video recording, but will wear out quickly if recording continuously.

      • Okay, thanks

      • How many gb would you recommend for dashcam?

        • +2

Simplest rule of thumb is find the sweet spot of $/Gb - take advantage of deals/sales to get the best value.
Treat the card as a consumable. All cards will eventually fail. In simple terms, you can only write/rewrite a card so many times before it will start to fail. A higher res camera will fill the card faster and have to rewrite more often and fail faster, but a bigger card will take longer to fill and before it has to write over old footage, so last longer before it hits the same number of rewrites.

      • Can i use endurance for the smartphones? I was thinking to use most long-lasting card for the phone. Or is just for the dash cams.

    • +1

I used one of these for dash cam and never again.
Got in an accident and pressed the triangle button to lock the recording.
went home and I saw that the sd card corrupted multiple days of recordings and my accident footage was no where to be seen. I bought a 256gb samsung pro endurance micro sd card for $80 and its working so far

      • Damm, unlucky
Will be on the look for an endurance card now as I am using the regular ones

        • luckily the other party accepted fault or I would have been screwed

  • I wish 512 was on sale.

    • Agree. Need to hold.. have too many 128, going 256 will just waste.

If you have eBay Plus and a monthly $5 coupon available. You can get it from Bing Lee for $29

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/154866855315

    • Getting error " The seller isn't accepting bids or offers from you." Strange

    • @cd-v
when we will get that $5 monthly coupon ? first of the month ? i havent got one for october, on my summary page i see one already redeem (i assumed that was for september as i havent made any purchases this month)

    • i'm a sad panda. i already used that fiver so only get $1.70 off with the PLUSOCT1 code.

      • when did you get the $5 for october? i had one for september and used it but have not received one for october

        • can't remember exactly but i used it to order some car stuff on the 3rd.

  • How do I claim the warranty, my card from the last order has some issues in formatting. Ordered from eBay with the voucher so returning it won't be a good option I guess.
    Any help?

  • Jb has these vor 10 dollars more.
