      Yes, removed the "insulation plate" as per instructions.

    Same here.
    Battery as delivered was dead flat but reported as fully charged.
    I put in a charged 18650 and it works fine, so looks like the charging circuit believes that the battery is charged so won't do anything.
    Going to return it.

    Same here. Bought the cheaper listing one (the one with 1 review) won't turn on, battery light shows green - returned it and got a discount code. Bought it again at the more popular listing. Hoping this one works :\ it seems pretty solid
