Any chance we can buy these with Coles giftcards?

    • +2

Will work fine with a physical Coles or Coles Myer gift card. Just select payment as card and not gift card

      • +2

And don't try to split payment.

      • What about a discounted digital Coles giftcard?
Any reason it has to be physical?

        • +1

System won't allow it. Only works with physical because you don't press gift card as the payment. Digital gift cards won't work

        • Just worked for me with a digital gift card, but my card had to manually entered in by staff at the checkout.

    • +1

You cannot use Coles Groceries gift cards to purchase any gift cards at Coles (even if you have a physical gift card). As soon as you swipe or scan the gift card, you will get an Invalid Product Mix error on the EFTPOS terminal screen.

I mention this, because you can purchase Coles Groceries gift cards via Prezzee (and as a consequence, Shopback).

So load up $500 Airbnb gift cards for $50 flybuy worth of flybuys! got it

    • Yep. 10k flyers points is the maximum

Which 500 dollars of gift cards gets

      • +1

That's usually enough for 2-3 nights in most cases. This deal is equivalent to 10% off, not bad at all.

p.s.: hate it when Airbnb charges extra when you add more guests…

    • 5% off airb gc on sb app..

    • Airbnb don't give refunds to cancelled bookings made with gift cards. Edit: I think the gift card balance will remain on your account to be used in a future booking. link

    What does this mean?

20x Flybuys Points on Airbnb Variable Load - what is variable load?

    • +4

Any amounts within the “allowable range” printed on the airbnb giftcard, as per image.

    • +3

It means you can choose how much dollar amount you want to be added, Anywhere from 20 to 500 and the attendant keys it in before the card is activated. So, if you load $100 you then get 20 by that amount as flybuys which is 2000 points or $10 worth - so basically it's 10% off the cost if you buy groceries later, you would buy anyway.

  • Is Disney+ Annual Subscription Card with 20x FB points a good deal?

    • Would like to know too

    • +3

It's a lot cheaper to take a short holiday to Turkey and sign up there.

      • Will that have potential consequences, like got your subscription cancelled in the future or something? I've noticed one time that when I forgot to turn off VPN, Disney + won't let me log in and use it.

        • Without a crystal ball, who knows. But they aren’t interested in losing a paying customer. And a system to track all VPN users and single them out for unique payment setups would probably cost more than it’s worth. At worst your next renewal they’ll force it to match the credit card address.

          • @freefall101: Yep did a little research and found out that Turkey's Disney plus had only been up and running for 5 months or something.. That's a short time, tho quite some discussion on Reddit already. Maybe I'll try later ;)

        • Will that have potential consequences, like got your subscription cancelled in the future or something?

Maybe, but currently there doesn't appear to be an issue if you can sign up.

I've noticed one time that when I forgot to turn off VPN, Disney + won't let me log in and use it.

From Turkey subs? I signed up an annual subscription in Turkey. Used it on various devices without a VPN and its been working fine.

          • @M00Cow: Nah not from Turkey subs. So as long you could sign up and successfully pay for the Turkish subscription, you don't even need a VPN to use it. That seems pretty good.

IMPORTANT: Disney Gift Subscriptions cannot be redeemed by existing subscribers

    See here: https://www.disneyplus.com/en-au/welcome/gift-subscription

Edit: I don’t know why I’m being downvoted

    • Cool, wait until your current sub runs out, apply card, watch D+.

      • Did you test this? I bought this card and my current sub expires today. Wondering if I should use same email or new email to use the gift card. Terms on gift card and website only taljs about current subscriptions but doesn’t explicitly mention if existing accounts with expired subscription can use it or not

  • Anyone know if these air bnb gift cards are region locked? I remember buying the uber gift cards thinking it'd save me some money when I travel then later to find that the uber gift cards has been region locked and I can only use it in Australia.

    • Just limited to spends in AUD so can't change currency.

      • +1

Not true, you can toggle the currency to pay in (does not actually make a difference, btw) and you gift card credit adjust accordingly.

  • Can I pay for the Airbnb gift cards using my flybuy points/fly buy dollars?

    • -1

Don't think so. I think you can get a coles Myers gift card from Kmart/target using flybuys and then use that to purchase Airbnb gc.

      • Okay good idea

      • -1

You can do this? Have you done this recently?

        • It does work in Kmart. Not sure y you'd neg without investigating on your own(if you were the negger).

          • +1

@Hallaj: Nope didn't neg, genuinely asked if we could use Flybuys points to buy Coles Myer at Kmart.

  • "Airbnb t&c - Gift Cards may not be applied towards charges for changes to existing reservations or be used to purchase other Gift Cards."

    https://www.airbnb.com.au/help/article/3106/australia-gift-c…

Does anybody know if I have a pending payment for a reservation if I can load the gift card and use it to pay? Going under my existing reservations, I don't see a way to add a gift card for paying this upcoming reservation

edit: checked with Airbnb, gift cards can only be used for the 1st installment of a trip

    • I was able to do that before. I just added the gift card to my account (not on the reservation page) and then when going to the page to pay the second installment the amount of the gift card is deducted.

What is not possible is to pay the first half with gift card and the second half later. Because they deduct the gift card before dividing the payment. For example if you have a $1000 reservation with payments $500 now and $500 later and load a $500 gift card then the payments become $250 now and $250 later.

  • With AirBNB - can we use multiple giftcards for payment?

    • Yes, you just add the gift cards to your account. It'll then show up as an airbnb credit balance in the payment section.

  • I have multiple linked flybuys cards. Can I purchase muliple $500 AirBNB gift cards using the different flybuys cards, still get the flybuys points and then add them all to the same AirBNB account? Also what about if I purchase GC using separate non-linked flybuys cards, can they be added to the same AirBNB account?

    • By definition gift cards can be gifted to other people, so there is no reason to think that they can't all be funnelled to a single airbnb account regardless of who bought them.

    • same question here, however the condition says “ A limit of 10,000 Flybuys points per Flybuys account applies。

  • Does the credit or cards ever expire?

  • You only get 20x points if you buy in store? Can't find where to enter flybuys details on giftcards.com.au site

    • +1

      Yes, it's instore only.

only available in-store at Coles Supermarkets (excludes Coles Online, Coles Express and purchases via giftcards.com.au)

      • Oopps. I read excludes as includes! Thanks!

  • +1

does anyone know how long is gonna take for Flybuys points appear in account?

  • Hope i get the points. Couldn't find a banner in store nor the offer in digital catalogue.
Just blindly trusted the image on OzB.

    • The offer is in the digital catalogue. It is on the top of page 37 of the NSW metro catalogue.

      • Phew! Thanks so much.. i looked on my phone and all the icons were jumping making quick skim really difficult.. I expected this to be advertised with much more fanfare than it is in the page you shared, like a full page one.. lesson learnt
