If you want the alcohol ones, just buy at Aldi.

4.29 per L and Australian made.

    • arent the alcohol ones inferior?

      • Listerines ARE alcohol ones. (They have non-alcohol ones, but don't think they are in Australia yet)

The Listerine non-alcohol ones have Zero in the name (meaning zero alcohol) and they've been available here for years.

On a separate note, alcohol based mouthwash has been linked to oral cancer by a few studies. I stopped using it for this reason and only use non-alcohol based mouthwash.

          • @Boourns: Ah never noticed that, but the one posted here is alcohol based one.

I usually use Colgate for non-alcohol (from Amazon when it was 4-5 per L) and now got a stockpile of Oral B at 6 per L.

I only go back to Aldi if I can't get the Colgate/Oral B for cheap.

      • I find that non-alcohol ones often have citric acid in them as part of the replacement and to whiten teeth. My understanding is that acid damages your teeth… It whitens it by destroying the top layer. Probably isn't a huge issue, but alcohol seems the way to go for me.

Whew, got my 5 just in time. Back to regular price already.
You really have to sink your teeth into these deals fast these days.

      • lol is it actually cheaper than getting the big bottle then?

  • I've always wondered this, is mouthwash necessary after brushing?? Does it actually keep your breath fresh all day round?

    • Not an expert but I've heard from a few sources that mouthwash is largely unnecessary and can even be harmful to your mouth bacteria. Brushing / flossing twice a day is the best thing you can do. If you want fresh breath I would say sugar-free chewing gum is the best option.
