what's a good cruise price tracker website?

14 days on a boat. No thanks.

P&o ships are the worst cruise ships out there, always the oldest and have the worst crowds.

Be very wary of going on a P&o cruise they are the tiger airways of the water with a rooty hill rsl crowd.

    • I feel that’s a bit harsh 😀 I haven’t been on other cruises so can’t comment on the crowds on other cruises, but the ones I did with P&O had decent crowd. My kids made lots of friends and had a blast. We were not very keen on making new friends and were happy to just hang around by ourselves.
But also at the end of the day - you get what you pay for, but I for one have no complaints with P&O so far.

    • Is it fairly easy to avoid others or are you stuck being in close proximity to guests outside your room?

      • I guess it’s very subjective and depends on a lot of factors. We went on the explorer which I understand is their largest ship. We went during school holidays so assume it was as busy as it gets. But we found ourselves comfortable and didn’t really have to be in close proximity of other guests. There are a lot of open areas where you can be by yourself.
But if you were to go on a smaller ship, the experience might be different.

need to be part of the medical experiments..

do you need to give tips for cruise staff?

    • You don’t have to - but after getting all the good service you might end up giving some tips - atleast to the room stewards, if not others.

      • -1

and how much in general? thanks

        • We had 2 room stewards and we gave $20 each on the last day - not sure if that’s good or bad. We also gave the same to a few of the wait staff and some kids club staff who our kids loved.
You can pick up an envelope from the reception and hand it to them. They are mostly very humble and would even refuse to take it but will accept it gladly.
Most staff are overseas/ non-locals so when they convert it in their local currency should be a fair amount. Each to their own though.

        • $1-$2 per day ?

  • So Cheap~ so tempted to go but I think better wait for my 2yo toilet trained first. I think kid that is not toilet trained are not allowed to get into the pool.

Check if you can leave your 2 year old in the kids club. It’s free and runs all day. You won’t have to worry about kids on the cruise at all.

Hmm.. 14 nights with the wifey and my 2 year old in a tiny little room and a endless ocean around us. One of us is jumping.

      Get the unlimited alcohol package

  • is it possible to only add on wifi access without upgrading to another package?

    • +1

You can buy the wifi package onboard.

  • Good price for 14 nights. My kids are adults so I don't need to travel with younguns. Tried just putting in 1 adult/0 kids and it shows Interior as Sold Out (which it isn't when choosing 2A/2C) but that's OK I wouldn't want to take up a room that a family would like. Oceanview (for 1A) is $3781.06 pfffft Oceanview for 2A/2C is $3,344.66 - $400 cheaper. It makes no sense to me - they will be feeding, making beds for and dealing with 1 rather than 4 so why the solo tax. I'll pass the info about this post to my married friend with 2 primary schoolers so thank you OP.

  • They say you can't go with a baby <1yo. Do they strictly check as she will be 11months for these dates?

    • You will need a passport for everyone travelling so they will definitely check your passport details before leaving

  • Kids are showing additional expense…

    2 adults - $2606 internal room (Cheapest)
    2 adults and 2 kids - $3444 - Oceanview (Cheapest)

  • Isnt this deal kind of pointless as kids will be in school during this time?

    • Not all kids go to school…

    • +1

There never any sale during school holiday

      • duh, lol.

That is like complaining perisher and thredbo has no ski deals during the snowy winter school holiday.

    • probably why it's so cheap. we have taken our kids on holidays during school term as it was cheaper.

  • We haven't reached the covid finish line yet?
Too risky to book, could lose your money if you had to cancel.

  • fake deal. i tried to book and all it did was charge double for the adults and make children free, so your paying the same amount. my room was about $500 x4 = $2000, then i clicked on the 2 kids free, and it changed the price to 2 adults for $1000 each and then kids "free". not a deal. just too the price of the kids and stuck it to the adult.
