    Hi guys. FCL has advised that code TENOFF is not to be advertised on Cashrewards for this promotion as it's not sanctioned for cashback by FCL. However, if you have a successfully tracked purchase showing as pending in your Cashrewards account after using the code, they will honour it. If the transaction does not report to your account after using the code, we cannot submit claims as they will not be honoured. Note also that tracking is taking 4-6 hours for this promotion. Hope this helps, and it's the only update I can provide on the code. Thank you.

    Edit: Also been advised by FCL that the increased cashback promo may end early - unsure at this stage of the exact time. Will advise here as I know more. Thank you.

      that's a new one, normally in the past we have been told that if it is on their website it will be counted towards cashback, even if it isn't showing on Cashrewards.

        Not sure if it does void it. Usually promo codes on the retailer website don't void the cashback discount. I'm sure you will see that code added to Cashrewards site sometime today (it only juts started just over an hour ago and it is the middle of the night)

    didn't want to take the chance of the $10 off code voiding the cashback, so just did something for just over $50. I was going to get the 2 blocks of Tooheys new for $102 and get $10 off, 20% cashback and 2000 bonus FB, but didn't after TA said that if it didn't track, then I might miss out on the 20% cashback. I know some got away with it, but some won't. I'll be kicking myself if Shopback have a better % off tomorrow lol…oh well, bird in the hand, as they say.

      I took the approach that I'd rather pay $10 less today (with coupon use), rather than full amount (without coupon), and then wait a couple of months for $18 or so cashback later, which is not that much more of a win. Remember to consider what your cashback will be based on ex. GST price of your order when deciding.

      If you are ordering drinks $165+, you'll make use of the $30 cap and therefore better to play it safe and let it track and cashback.

      In summary: I went bird in the hand, but if cashback comes as well then that would be nice :)

    Another one here who waited to pull the trigger until TA could confirm if the TENOFF code would stack and missed out altogether as I wasn't able to sit around watching Ozbargain all afternoon, figuring I had until 11.59pm AEDT as per the T&C's.

    Really poor form from FCL to 1) honor the code for some who jumped early while not for others who waited in good faith and 2) to pull the entire promo early with little notice.

    I doubt anyone from FCL is watching this page - or even cares enough to act - but unless FCL run another similar promo to make good this debacle for those that missed out, I for one will be avoiding any purchases in future.

    What an ad-hoc, unprofessional look for such a high profile company.

    TA - please pass on the disappointment/feedback to FCL for those of us who weren't able make use of this promo.

      I’m unlikely to find favour with this comment but the upsized CB ran for 18hours. If the code wasn’t published by midday the likes of it happening were bloody slim.

      Notification that the deal would end earlier than advertised was around 1300hrs (AEDST) and an hours notice was given before it ended at 1830hrs.

      There were great deals to be had for those who were smart to get on board between midnight and 6:30pm… if you waited for the sake of another +/-$10, despite the info provided along the way, that’s on you.

      I know this is a bargain site the the self righteousness of some members is disappointing.

        Riddle me this:

        A local bottleshop places a flyer in your physical home letterbox offering 20% for one day only until close of business. You plan to go out of your way and stop by on your way home from work. Arriving at 5.30pm you discover they have placed a notice in the shop window an hour prior to your arrival stating the promo will close at 5pm.

        Upon query, the shop owner shrugs his shoulders and says "the notice was in the window for the whole word to see…you should have been smarter and got on board as soon as we opened up this morning"

        Would you still be of the same opinion?

        Should online vendors / promos not be held to the same applicable standards as the real world?
