I know, we all hate Harvey Norman. However, one of the very offers i have seen lately without any extra purchases required. Late October delivery Stock expected from mid November 2022.

Twice with the horizon bundle a few weeks back. Their reason was I had to order in store, in store said ps5's are online order only.

@ChadHominem: There is smaller chip and therefore smaller cooler. So noise is probably at the same level.

It should be the 1200 model. When the bundles are made it's the standard console and they repack locally with an outer sleeve with all the outer parental ratings for AU. The Horizon bundle was 1100 model, but the latest bundle with FIFA was the 1200, so would consider this as the same 1200 model.

The XBoxX and PS5 retail prices had officially increased about 6 weeks ago. It was announced officially by Microsoft and Sony.

There was the 2Tb Seagate (980 Pro?) on Amazon AU for $309 a couple of days ago. They seem to getting a bit more frequent so shouldn’t have to wait too long for another deal.

@Flying owl: That's all cool. I'm loving every minute gaming with PS5. Diving back in to my hall of shame of unfinished PS4 AAA games I have returned to, like God of War, Jedi Fallen Order and Red Dead Redemption that look amazing with the performance boost and have gone back to complete them now. My PS4 was noisy, would get quite warm/hot and struggled with some later generation games. PS5 no such issues. Smooth and quiet to the point can only tell it's on by the white LED. Many opinions the PS5 is cosmetically ugly as…but I like the fact that's it's different and not just another box. I may even buy the Pro version in 2024 if there is enough of a difference in performance.
@klaatu: Of course, my PS4 pro still runs smoothly.
Love the AAA games on Playstation.Historically Sony launch the Pro version on the 3rd/4th year after console launch.
I'm hoping they are keeping with this schedule.@Flying owl: Possibly, but everything had stalled in 2020 with the pandemic, including games as the devs were unable to operate normally. Add around 12 months to any normal release windows for new console versions and peripherals. I used to work at PlayStation so an insight on how things rock and roll over there.
@klaatu: PS4 is quite old now and needs new thermal paste to stop the fan from running at 100% all the time or freezing especially if you got an early one.
@DamagedDingo: 100% thermal paste and as the game devs became more accustomed to pushing the limits of the GPU, the load on the power supply increases.
PS3 and PS4 in particular had games release half through the life cycle which drew power and of course, ramped up the fan. In many cases the thermal paste and cooling system wasn't up to the task. The main reason why PS5 now has the over engineered heat sync and liquid metal solution.

That's because you're about 11 hours too late. You needed to be up at midnight to get this one.
Slight price drop on the bundled HZD disc version as well for $887 (takes the game to being only slightly overpriced, instead of stupidly overpriced).
This type of selling works. You make something not readily available and all of a sudden everyone wants one. Usually stock would just sit on shelves and people would wait for price drops.

Anyone else had their order 'delayed'? Hope it means it's delayed until the expected stock arrives in late Oct, and not much later than that.
Secondly, anyone had their order status move on from 'Processing', or still stuck on that?Mine is the same. I used PayPal pay in 4, I'm hoping it's related to that, but they did take the first payment.
If mine updates, I'll let you know, but I'd be curious to hear from others myself.Mine moved from processing and now says stock is expected in late October.
Aight cool thanks for letting me know! I called my local store and they just indicated to me that it's on backorder, not cancelled or anything and that they'll let me know when it arrives for store pickup. Just a waiting game until hopefully later this month or early next month.

I hadn't had a chance to go pick up yet (luckily), they actually just emailed me to tell me there was a warehouse error and it's not in yet………..

On the chat they told me they expect a drop in the coming week but didn’t clarify if that meant this week or next. But the kicker was when they said I may not get one from that order as it’s managed by dispatch store.
I’ve never really liked shopping at HN and wouldn’t want to deal with warranty through them so decided to cancel.
Yeah I ended up ordering a Disc PS5 at Big W this weekend for $799 and it's being shipped now, hopefully get it on Friday or next week. I'll most likely end up cancelling with HN, probably best to look elsewhere and secure one then cancel HN Gazz.

Days after I placed the HN order my flat mate walked in and picked up a digital one from JB. I’m gonna use his for a few weeks and I’ll pick one up from JB or BIGW later.
I’ll have to wait for a refund from paypal pay in 4 so not sure how that will work yet as I’m close to my next payment so probs have to do that first.

I'm still waiting for my ps5 order that I placed in AugustI just chatted with HN earlier this morning and they said still no ETA and the delays were on Sony's end (not sure I believe that, but whatever).
Anyway, I've requested to cancel my order, i'll probably have better luck getting it from somewhere else.
