    I balked when I saw this price…
I knew it was gonna be expensive, but this is RTX 4090 stupid expensive

    • Indeed. It’s insane to see the AUD prices. It’s USD 1499 🙄

      • +1

It’s a shame, because I was like $1.500 even $1,600 sure ok, Mark.

They’ve clearly gone all out targeting businesses but I don’t see people wanting to use Dropbox and excel in VR.

It’s got some nice features like better display and all the rest of the tracking.

My best hope is they either offer deep discounts or take the best upgrades as part of the Quest 3.

1499USD is 2388AUD. We're getting a decent deal when you factor in taxes.

    • Between them bumping up the price on Quest 2 by $150 and the weak AUD, I knew it'd be dear. But this? Yikes.

      • I know right… I haven’t felt this betrayed on pricing since the RDNA2 launch!

    RRP isn't a bargain

  • +9

I’m glad it’s this price - so there is absolutely no f’n way I’d even HALF consider this.

  • Even a Sukhoi fighter pilot would be embarrassed to be seen wearing this.

  • +2

    I think you'll find it's $2,449.99

  • +3

$2.4k to play a shittier version of VRChat.

    Nah, i'm good Zukie.

  • looks like its aimed at corporate world … but what business would invest into many sets of these , cant even imagine the maintenance and damage they would get … not to mention in current covid world what rules there would have to be eg 1 device assigned to person, cant share etc.

    • +2

Yeah I don't get the focus on businesses. It just seems like a solution to a problem that doesn't exist. People I work with have enough trouble as it is just connecting to a Zoom meeting. Can you imagine how much time would be wasted trying to get everybody to get their VR headsets working?

    • the same companies that paid thousands for herman miller office chairs that they don't need to anymore when people are working from home with their uber cool metas.

    • I'll buy my staff a Reverb G2 and a gym membership to harden their necks before this shit.

  • Anyone else think that website looks terrible?

  • hahahaha - keep this up and it will be a prestige brand.

  • I bought the meta quest 2 last week, wasn’t sure what the rrp of the pro would be so I’m happy with my choice, $2499 is a big money

  • News, rrp, incorrect price, not a bargain

  • OP that's not a bargain and also the price is more than your title. It's actually $2499.99

  • Price in title is wrong also it's not a deal, regular price.

  • It’s a pre order! It’s RRP

I don't mind OzInStock for OzInDemand. There's no indication of demand yet.

  • META? How about no???

  • Pre-order isn't a bargain. Is a TV or a gaming laptop included in this price? 😏

  • +2

Just import a Pico 4 for about 1/3 of the price.

    • How do you do that? Are you buying it from their website, then using a shipping/forwarding company to send it to Australia?

      • +1

Amazon UK or Amazon Germany will ship it to Australia. They are out of stock at the moment though

  • The problem I have is that you're posting this as a deal. What is should be is a comment in a forum thread about VR.

At least with gaming consoles there's a huge demand, short supply and a scalp problem.

Ain't nobody rushing out to get this.

  • And this is why meta is going to be a distant memory in 10 years.

  • thought this was a joke post

  • If Apple made it how much would it cost?

    • Double and half the features unless you join up with a subscription

  • How is this a bargain?
