    Hi all,

Unfortunately a wrong title has been loaded against the product. It is in fact a Thinkware dash cam.
    https://thinkware.com.au/products/f100ra-hd-rear-window-cam

The product has been taken offline and all orders will be cancelled.

    Sorry for the confusion.

    Regards
    Autobarn eCommerce

@Nathw: Any background, seems like I am missing out on some internal joke

            • +13

@Wrongguy: Strap yourself in - the story of how a customer rep at Dell (unintentionally) ended up moving orders that were meant to be cancelled through the system by updating people's addresses, meaning a handful of people got a $2500 monitor for $250.

              • @raisinberry777: I think no-one got it, just trolling for fun

              • @raisinberry777: That one was a good deal, though ive switched back to my LG as i was getting some vertigo playing Division 2

          • @Nathw: Muzeeb have so many part time jobs.

Spoke to muzeeb and he confirmed my order manually and then hand delivered it 30 min later and installed it as a complimentary good will gesture

Currently driving with my new dashcan

        Muzeeb not in today!

      • +18

I’m not one to usually act in the stores defence, because when I saw it hit the front page I jumped immediately. But the deal was already expired by then.

      11:21 - Deal posted
11:53 - Pulled from Autobarn website
11:54 - Deal marked as expired
12:06 - Store rep comments on OzB with apology
12:11 - Deal makes front page

All things aside of whatever error occurred causing it to happen, this had closure within 45 minutes with customers contacted and an official response here clarifying the suspected SKU/product description discrepancy.

I don’t know what the fastest response from a store regarding a price error is; but in my opinion, this is pretty bloody quick. None of it has been dragged out for days to finally get a paltry response from the business or “the work of professionals” excuses.

I do now hope customers who placed orders receive prompt refunds without hassle. But as far as getting our hopes up, this was rectified pretty well.

      • +7

Stop with the logic and facts, your ruining the circle jerk.

      • “the work of professionals” excuses.
That would be the Optus defence, yes?

      • +1

Would have been quicker if I didn't have to wait for the 6 digit code to pop up in our email!

      • I do now hope customers who placed orders receive prompt refunds without hassle. But as far as getting our hopes up, this was rectified pretty well.

Well your hopes are promptly shattered. Keeping the $5.95 delivery fee is not very professional.

        • This was a one-off issue, that has now been rectified. Sorry about that - the difference has been refunded. :)

    • Any new deals on the horizon for DR750x 2C or DR 900x 2C ?

  • +5

    Wrong product descriptions.
The part number is for Thunkware camera.

    • Thunkware.

      Good for accidents only?

  • +3

Part number and description have "F100RA REAR CAMERA", so assume this is the mistake with wrong heading.

  • -4

Bought one, thanks OP, hopefully they will honour this price.

    • SKU: ME25027

      • +2

We don't live in a world where retailers can just list a product and sneak in the wrong SKU. They don't have to honour the purchase but refunds will be allowed 100%.

    • +1

      Damn it

    • LOL.

    • Wow, they shipped it already…even though I put in the cancellation request.

      • -1

Now they want you to go through the whole process of physically returning the Thinkware rear camera and sort out the refund. Sneaky Autobarn.

      • -2

Send me order details! I'll try sort it out before it goes out the door!

  • +1

    check the photo…

  • +5

    Muzeeb?

    • +1

Sorry out of the loop, why is this name mentioned on so many threads?

      • Cause he got me three Dell monitors at 90% off.

  • +2

Sku and part number and description is for a rear camera. Similarly priced elsewhere. Not a deal

  • I ordered & have all the screenshots showing that it is stating a Blackvue DR900x 2Ch Plus just in case they send me thinkware crap & don't want to honour a refund.

    • +1

LOL, the photo and description is saying Thinkware rear camera. That's expensive for a rear camera.

      • LOL? You mean the bit where it says in the title "BlackVue DR900X 2 CH Plus $k Ultra HD Wi-Fi?

        • +3

No, the part that says "F100RA REAR CAMERA SUIT F100 SERIES" above the price.

    • I've done exactly the same! 🤞

    • +5

That's good but you could've save way more time and less headaches by not ordering at all. Never in a million years are you getting what you're hoping for.

Just not worth the time I'm afraid.

      • +4

Keeps Warren from the eCommerce team busy!

    • Possible to please house and share this.

      I've bought but didn't take screenshots :'(

      • +2

if it helps no-one who ordered it will get it regardless of all the screenshots they took.

        • but… but I have screenshots!!!

    • all orders with the SKU should have been cancelled and refunded … if it has been shipped, the item will be recalled.

any issues, please send us a message with the order number and we can look into it for you.

    • +2

Yes but that's for people not trying to get a $750 dashcam for $150 lol

  • Ordered and hoping

  • +1

I am guessing the deal is for https://autobarn.com.au/ab/Autobarn-Category/Shop-our-Full-R… ? Showing $769 for me.

  • I can’t even check out, guess I saved money

    • Probably you haven’t checked the box above place order.

  • Surely they won't honour this deal!

    • +2

      No, Autobarn won't.

  • Shows not in stock in all Sydney Metro stores for C&C. Looks like everyone jumped the gun for a dud. I dodged a bullet.

  • +1

Email confirmation clearly states Blackvue product. They’ll have a hard time saying customers should know the sku or image was wrong

    • They will just cancel and say no stock… anyway, gotta be in it to win it 🤞

    • This is the only chance it gets honoured imo

  • Bought one hoping they do honour it

    • do let us know if you got yours

  • +5

We reserve the right to accept or reject your order for any reason, including (without limitation) suspected fraud, if the requested Product is not available, if there is an error in the price or incorrect product information.

They aren't going to put the sale through

    • Stores might for click and collect

      • at store level, it actually shows the Thinkware unit and not the Blackvue. so the stores that did get it ready, got the Thinkware ready for customers.

  • +1

Thanks. Picked up 3 at Perth City. They don’t even check the order :)

    • +3

Really!? Would’ve thought they’d pick the click and collect orders by SKU not description

    • Receipt? Photos of the dashcams please.

    • You got ‘em in your hands already? Professional!

    • Proof?

    • +2

We don't even have a Perth City store!

      • +3

Perth city does not deserve one, because people there are liars ;p

      • LOL

    • Wow. This person is a chronic liar

  • Bought first & regretting later. No chance they will send a BlackVue even though email says it is a Blackvue. Hope they don’t ship the Thinkware one & ask me to return for refund

    • Feel the same, so didn't bother. Been OzBargaining the heck out of deals over the past days :D:D

  • +1

Same at Autopro if you're regional

    • +1

      "Autopro We know these parts."

    • Autopro orders have also been cancelled … a couple of people tried that way .. but were stopped

  • Description is definitely for the Blackvue :

Front camera: 8 megapixels CMOS sensor recording in 4K Ultra High Definition (3840×2160) at 30FPS.
Rear camera: 2.1 megapixels Sony STARVIS™ recording in Full HD (1920×1080) at 30FPS.
The front camera’s ultra-wide 162-degree angle takes full advantage of the 4K UHD resolution. The rear camera records in Full HD at a 139-degree angle with outstanding low-light sensitivity.
Native Parking Mode with built-in voltage monitor to protect your vehicle battery (hardwiring cable included).

With the free BlackVue Cloud service, check on your car from anywhere, anytime.

    4K in a dashcam is not a gimmick. It is a game-changer.
It is not about playing videos on a giant screen–although you could do that too. It’s about providing video proof.
A dashcam is only as good as its ability to capture crucial details–usually license plate numbers.
The 8-megapixel 4K UHD sensor does just that by capturing 4 times as many pixels as in Full HD.
And with its fast shutter speed, details are frozen in place.
    Just pause and zoom in.

Seamless Pairing with the BlackVue App

Effortless setup. Say goodbye to passwords without compromising on security.

Simply connect to your dashcam without leaving the BlackVue App. With Seamless Pairing, setting up your dashcam is a breeze. Just power the dashcam, then easily connect from the BlackVue app and follow the simple instructions.

Whether you want to browse your dashcam’s files and settings or connect your dashcam to the Cloud, Seamless Pairing makes everything easy and intuitive.

    Wi-Fi, GPS and Optional LTE

Wi-Fi: download videos to your phone at blazing speed. Wi-Fi also lets your BlackVue connect to BlackVue Cloud via any home or mobile Wi-Fi hotspot (router).
GPS: visualize the location of your vehicle on the map during video playback and overlay speed on videos (can be hidden in settings).
LTE: connect the optional LTE connectivity module* via the USB port for the best Cloud experience and use your BlackVue as a Wi-Fi hotspot for up to five devices.

    (*) SIM card not included.

  • +1

Invoice says: BlackVue DR900X 2CH Plus 4K Ultra HD Wi-Fi w/ GPS 256GB Dash Cam - DR900X-2CH-2, hopeful it is the correct model.

    • I doubt it, but would be great if it's true.

  • I called my local to ask if they have any in stock and he said no, and the model is in their system as discontinued. No orders are likely to be filled

    • Just looked up stock for the correct sku and plenty of stores have them

  • +1

Tempted to order it…take a gamble on it being the BlackVue…but know I probably won't get it.
Kinda want everyone who has ordered it, to actually get the BV.
    Then I'll be gutted I didn't order.

    • Don't do it. I put in the order, then 2mins later I put in a cancellation request via email, but then 5mins later got a shipping email notification, looks when it arrived, it will have to return it at my local AutoBahn store because it will definitely not be the 4k BlackVue.

      • Autobarn = car parts retailer
Autobahn = car servicing in WA

but anyways .. it's because we emailed everyone to say the order would be cancelled .. then went through and started cancelling orders .. .

thought it would be nicer to get a "your order will be cancelled" email first prior to it being cancelled :)

        • And also a really really fast freeway in Germany.

  • ordered one…Good Luck to me!!

  • +1

    404 page not found.

  • They've pulled the page down now

  • I don't even need or want a dash cam.. yet I'm stuck here in limbo weather it's worth the drama to purchase with the risk of if they honour it or not.
And how easily they'd refund the money….

    🤯

  • 404 page not found. Deals over, lads

  • Ordered too, here goes nothing…

  • +2

    Got response:

    Placed on 10/13/22, 11:39 AM
    The order is Cancelled

    • I wish they cancelled mine, so I don't have to waste my time returning it.
Unless the real BlackVue 4k show up, but that is wishful thinking.

  • Cancelled. Nice try folks

  • I just want one to ping the drivers that are really shit, driving whilst watching tv, or lacquering their license plates to stop being caught speeding. Hope i get it

  • +2

Can still add to cart from this page - https://autobarn.com.au/ab/Autobarn-Category/In-Car-Tech/Das… - but not sure if its the BlackVue

  • Who is Muzeeb?

    • +2

      The King of Ozbargain.

    • +2

He used to work for Dell.

  • Got a call saying all orders are cancelled. They received 300+ orders. >:D

    • Delivered or click and collect? Have had no cancellation yet

      • C&c cancelled. Probably will be the same for delivery orders shortly

  • Missed it, f

    • Missed the cancellation email?

  • Received a collection e-mail and one cancellation. Should I run over there quickly?

    • +3

You should physically run over there. At least you’ll get your exercise done for the day.

    • +3

      the order will be cancelled.

      sorry

      • +1

Just let him have his exercise for the day :p

      • -2

I'm totally ok I'm with it being cancelled. Mistakes happen. But when your email offers 10% discount, not stacking with sales, for the next 7 days only then you've done your reputation harm. Let's face it.. We're better off waiting for a sale and that makes your apology offer embarrassing.

I'm not demanding it but I'm letting you know a realistic minimum to not look like jerks is 10%, stacking, 3 months. I won't take it up personally, but it's fair.

        • -1

Fair would be apologising and fully refund you. They don't even need to give you extra 10% discount over the next 7 days.

          • @edfoo: I would have been ok with no offer. But the one given was actually a joke (given they go on sale for much less) and therefore quite rude

  • As an apology for this mistake, we are offering you 10% refund and free shipping on a future purchase of an alternative dash cam

    Conditions are:

Purchase must be made via the Autobarn website – purchases made in-store will not be honoured
Only customers who have been sent this offer will be eligible – the same email address must be used for purchase
To receive the offer, you must reply to this email with your new Autobarn order number
10% refund will be based on RRP and not any sale prices
    Offer valid for 7 days
Refunds will be processed back to the same method of payment used and not as a cash/store credit refund

    pfft, where's my dashcam!?

    • You may find it in your dream tonight.
