I'd wait for reviews. The older Blitzwolf is infamous for needing to reconnect devices until it decides to charge them all.

Eighteen 5 star reviews and one 2 star. The 2 star seems to concur with your thoughts:

I had high hopes for the first affordable general use Desktop charger with more than 2 USB-C ports but the main feature is somewhat disappointing: Everytime you connect a new device to a USB-C port or a new voltage is negotiated, all other USB-C ports will reset which is super annoying. Forget about hooking up a Raspberry Pi, or a ISDT C4 Evo or any other device which gets confused when the power is cut temporarily, because you'll see that a lot. Fun fact, a Apple iPhone charging cable will also enable the USB-C port even without a phone connected so if hooked up "incorrectly" you'll see two resets of the other ports. The USB-A ports are not affected but also not up to spec; only USB-A1 goes up to 2A, USB-A2/A3 only supply 1A, even when nothing else is connected which is not according the specification.

Might still be okay if you are just charging devices and not permanently running them from the charger.

    • It’s not just Blitzwolf. When you plug in a new device the chargers need to renegotiate how much power to give the devices and that’s why they disconnect.

Yes, but iirc it doesn't reconnect reliably. Often things stop charging instead of reconnecting.

At least thats my recollection of ozb comments.

This is the perfect form factor and I'd be all over it if it worked.

    • I have the old one and I don't charge several devices at the same time, so far I am fine.

  • Hey Clear, how accurate is their estimated delivery date?

Expected to ship before Nov 13

Need it to arrive before Dec.

  • How do I get it for 53.46? it shows me 85.47 and a 5% discount option which makes it 80.43. Still far from $53!
