Great game but a joke that 1st party switch games never go get properly discounted. Yet classics like god of war are regularly sold for under 20 on PS.

Nintendo tax…no different to Apple tax. If people are willing to pay then why discount. As much as i hate these companies for what they do i cant fault the business model. Dont hate the player…hate the game!

      • people are definitely not prepared to buy these games at these prices. yes the big ones (zelda, mario, pokemon) they get away with but barely anyone is going to buy an 8 year old DK game for more than it was when it released compared to if it was on sale for like $20, me being one of them

Yeah, I don't understand the logic of it. Re-releasing this and the other early Switch games like Mario Odyssey and Zelda as "Switch Greatest Hits" or something for $20-30 each would sell a truckload. Surely more profitable than the next to nothing amount of sales these games must be doing at this point now at full price.

Yeah, as much as I like the game I don't know if it's worth that much. Especially for a Wii remake.

        Wii U remake

        But i agree as well.

Definitely should be a $30-40 game

    • Not to mention that this game costs more than the Wii U version did (unsure of AU costs but it was US$50 on Wii U)

I’ve had a notification for this game for a couple years. Not sure it’s been triggered till now. Still too expensive though lol! Thanks anyway.

  • If you have a Wii U this game runs about $20 on marketplace.

I was a crazy huge fan of Donkey Kong Country on SNES but I found this game VERY challenging and it just got me frustrated. I've bought it twice, sold it twice.

Still too expensive for what it is.

  • An amazing title.

  • Was actually a bit disappointed with this game. Just found it a bit boring. Definitely some challenging stages though.

    • Yeah it doesn't really capture the magic of the original trilogy. I stopped playing this and just went back to replay the originals!

  • It seems back to $63.75 now. Even for Prime.
