        There are only 3 owner/operator networks in Japan, the same as here in Australia.

        From the listing:
        Sim card is using Softbank or KDDI 3G and 4G networks. 4G coverage footprint of 98% and a combined 4G and 3G coverage footprint of 98.8% of the Japanese population. 3G handsets will only receive 3G coverage.

        KDDI is the au network. DoCoMo has the best coverage.

      Price isn't any different. It might be slightly cheaper but from memory them not having the data/usage combination you want, having to find the outlet/vending machines, stuff around and wasting time during your holiday which may or may not work is not worth saving $5.

      My thoughts are for me personally that itโ€™s easier to organise pre flight, but some people are happy to pick up at the airport or get shipped to their first hotel. We are buying the eSim as it can be tethered and we will probably bring a tablet, plus donโ€™t have to mess around with the SIM cards.

      I completely understand where you are coming from, it isn't something we do typically as Aussies, and I can see why it would deter you if you feel passionate about not tipping a website.

      Honestly, this is something that we decided to bring in during Covid (as we suffered heavily as a travel business for 2 years) and it was a way for us to receive support from our loyal customers. That said, only a very small percentage of people tip, but it helps nonetheless.

      Hey @notewar

      We have EU SIMs however they are not currently on sale.

      We have ThreeUK and Movistar SIMs that roam onto different local networks throughout the EU.

      Do keep an eye on us for Black Friday though.
