  • Link is borked. Here is the product page, albeit at $397 (I'm guessing because it's not 2pm yet). DSE sell currently selling it for $498.

    • i thought modern lcd tvs would be reasonably reliable but the vivo tv seems to be failing for alot of people after a very short time.

  • Mine failed after 2 years 11 months. Luckily I got extended warranty, so DSE gave me a gift card to choose another TV cause I didnt accept another vivo replacement. The tv always had problem with the remote control, the digal tunner is really bad. In my opinion, stay away from vivo brand, spend a hundred more, you will get a decent tv. DSE got Sony bravia 32" for 299, I think its a good choice. You can go wrong with Sony.

  • The one I bought had a cluster of failed pixels. Everyone I saw in the store had failed pixels! Mine went back for refund.

    • I replaced mine THREE times before I got one with no bright/dead pixels. After you reduce the backlight levels, the picture quality of the screen is actually really, really good.

Was a huge pain swapping over the TV that many times though!

  • Bought this TV $388 (free ship) from this OZB deal http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/54735

This deal $20 cheaper inc ship.

No complaints here. Sluggish channel changes with res changes but is working well.

  • Dick Smith Casual here - I don't like Vivo TVs. The larger they get, the worse they seem to get also. They are better than they were, say, a year ago but if you can afford it, I would recommend going up to a more reputable brand.

That being said, for the price you pay, they are great value. If they're replacing an old CRT, they're going to look great. But don't fool yourself into thinking they're anything other than a generic TV sold on price.
