  • What would I need to drive an ultrawide (1600p) at 60fps?

Would this be cromulent or should I go for a 3060Ti/3070?

Also can I get it without such an ugly case? Yuck.

honestly doesn't look toooo bad to me, perhaps just an unflattering angle. rgb is not my thing so if it's turned off to me it looks just like a nice white box with a few extra angles

    • 1600p in 21:9 is effectively 4k. so 3080

    • +2

That would depend entirely on what you want to drive at this resolution and framerate. This machine would handle the desktop and standard office productivity apps at this resolution no worries. If you want these settings as native resolution (no DLSS) and relatively recent games, you might want a faster CPU and something like a 3080 as mentioned below. Then if you want these settings native with ray tracing, then you may need to go even higher spec on the CPU with 3090 or 4080.

Hi luke just wondering would you do ever something a bit more CPU centric? Say a 5900x (or near equiv) rig with a 3080/ti. Most of your 3080/ti deals seem to be bundled with 6 core or 8 core machines at best and while I understand they certainly wont bottleneck the gpu in games it would be great to see some deals with a beefier cpu. Or did you already do your market research and most people dont really care for the cpu with a prebuild?

CPU doesn't do much at a higher resolution.
CPU is there only if you are in competitive gaming and pushing 100+FPS

Mate did you read what I wrote, I understand the cpus used wont bottleneck the gpu but I wanted something beefier not because of games.

    Ryzen 5 5600 RTX 3070 Gaming PC: $1298

^ Can you do this deal with a beefier power supply Luke?

    • +4

It has an option to upgrade the power supply to 750w for $49.

  • Don't want to be offensive, but does the $200 difference between this deal and the previous $799 deal justified well by the RXT3060 upgrade?

    • +3

Yes. Its about 20% price hike for slightly more than 20% of performance increase so you do get your moneys worth.

3070ti or 3080 deal thank you and please!
