            @nismo: The other thing with pre-orders is you don't have to pay until it's sent with Amazon and if the price drops again, however unlikely, you get the lowest price.

    Pre-ordered this too in case the other shops are getting flakey and canceling orders left and right. Ironically it’s easier to deal with Amazon than the rest :(

        Which professor do you want to start you on your journey, The GIGACHAD professor or Wild Cave Babe professor.

        Do you like wearing orange or purple?

        I'm sure there are other very small differences, but these are the big things i'd personally look for in making a decision.

      In my experience they ship on launch day then I get it the next day being in regional Vic, you may get it launch day if in a capital city.

          The last time I preordered from Amazon (with Prime and a promise of same day delivery) the day before it was due to arrive they sent me a message saying my estimated delivery date had changed and it was TWO WEEKS later.

            @tedprior: Amazon is the absolute worst with pre-orders, especially if you live in any metro areas where they use CouriersPlease as their de-facto delivery provider. Not sure if they're actively aiming to overtake Aramex/Fastway as the worst courier service in Australia, or just outright incompetence.

            The sub-contracted peanuts will lie out of their teeth using the excuse of "Business closed / after hours" as a reason to delaying your parcel delivery for a standard residential address.

      Last time I preordered (GT7) They sent it out days later. I also placed an additional order on release date and that one arrived next day while my preorder didn't arrive until 3 days later.

      DO NOT preorder on Amazon with any expectation of getting it on release date.

        Yeh exact same experience when I ordered a copy of GT5 on PS5, Amazon delayed the shipping until 3 days after release. Then to top it off, CouriersPlease added to it by delaying it another week and a half after spending hours on the phone trying to get through to their CSR team that claim they'll try to follow up with the subcontracted deliveryman but never to hear back from them again.

      Adelaide here, every Friday game release 2021 I had has amazon just sending it out ON THE DAY, for estimated arrival…Monday!

      This time thou, it sees to explicitly state: FREE Release Day delivery Friday, November 18

      So it better mean what it says it does this time

          There are over 900 pokemon by now - so not one game will have them all available.

              @Circly: To clarify what i said, unlike all the previous editions, with Arceus - you can complete your Pokedex without needing to trade etc. Though you cannot get other Pokemon outside its 'regional' dex.

              With all the other previous ones, you have to trade between versions to even complete the original regional dex.

    I had the pre order at 68 on Amazon thinking this would happen. However it didn't update my existing order to show 48? Shouldn't that happen automatically under amazon price reduction policy?

        Could be riskier if they run out of stock in the meantime. I've never not had a POPG (pre-order price guarantee) that I'm aware of activate, and many times it has when I was not aware of it.

    Ordered both, had the 2 pack ordered. If they adjust scarlet to $48 it will updated and even if they don't it'll be cheaper than the 2 pack

      Yeah, I wasn't happy with the trailers but it still looks better than Sword and Shield, and half price isn't bad for the (lack of) quality shown so far. I just hope the world isn't as sparse as it looks in the trailers.

    Then boy can figure out which one he wants and cancel other one.

    Generally - how good is Amazon - I bought Prime membership and whenever you want anything - large or small - it is here the next day with no delivery changes - I once ordered a $2 thing one night at 11pm and was at door by 8am next morning.

        You get to watch that Lord of the Rings show everyone complains about (personally I like it lol). Overall their quality is inferior to Disney+, and quantity inferior to Netflix because…well it's "free".
