  • Hi guys, new here.

Hoping to find out if it's working buying this or spending a bit more and getting the NUC M15 - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/731723?

    Thanks.

    • They are different sized laptops so are in different classes.

That being said, this AMD based Lenovo is faster, uses less power, has the same resolution (so higher PPI), and has the classic Lenovo build quality.

Why risk a less proven product?

      Edit: CPU comparison - https://nanoreview.net/en/cpu-compare/intel-core-i7-1165g7-v…

      • CPU is better on Lenovo, Display is trade offs, Battery is Worse on Lenovo, display has worse brightness 250 vs 450 nits in favour of the Intel NUC. Whilst the Lenovo is more efficient it has a worse battery life due to small battery capacity. There is also keyboard backlighting with the intel.

  • The L series is the sweet spot between the heavy and cheaper E and the lighter T series. Had one for a contract gig last year and rate it.

  • +1

We can easily add more RAM yeah?

  • Looking at this as a first laptop for my kid for high school next year. Need something tough that can withstand a beating… at this price point would this be a good buy or should I consider something else? Considering the laptop won't be needed until next year I'm not in a rush but FOMO is triggering my impulsivity!
