[NSW] Ozito PXC 150mm Circular Saw with 2.5Ah Battery and Charger $55.30 (Was $79) @ Bunnings, Shellharbour

270

Not an experienced poster, so bear with me while I have a go at posting this.

Ozito Promotional kit PXCSK-250, includes a 150mm circular saw (PXCSS-500) and a 2.5ah battery with a fast charger (PXBC-250C)
Item number from Ozito website is 0335940. This number is not found on Bunnings website, neither is the promotion kit ID number or the saw ID number. The battery and charger ID number shows as a normal $61 item.

There were 10 boxes left after I purchased mine this morning at 10:15am. The website https://nrby.in/bunnings/0335940 agrees with that stock amount in a check just now. You can check your own stores for stock, and next time you visit, see if they are also clearing out whatever stock they have.

  • Pretty good deal but do note this is the smallest of circular saws ozito offer.

    • When I checked Bunnings website for "Ozito 150mm saw", the only results that came back are for 2 Ozito circular saw blades. I presume the 150mm circular saws are no longer stocked?

Good deal if you haven’t got this one.

I have The 165mm Version and pair it with 10L Wet and Dry Vacuum as a dust extractor. Wonder how much worse the 150mm is?
I like the 165mm for better blade choices… This Diablo blade has been an awesome all rounder.

I grabbed the 60T Diablo blade, used with the 165mm version. Nice clean cuts in the pine I was using for a small shelf.

      • Switching blades made it feel like a completely different saw. I can't stress enough how crap the standard included blade is! I might get the 60T one day if the 40T ever gives up, be nice to compare them as the 40T does a super clean cut too.

  • Had this one from a 5-piece bundle from years ago. Gutless and easily stalled, but I couldn't get it to die. Bearings weren't great and didn't want to cut straight, but I did use it a lot.

Finally got the newer 165mm version, which is much better in every way, but haven't seen it in a combo like this deal.

  • There were heaps the other day for $39 at Kotara NSW

  • Mine died, after 4.1/2 years the bearing went, blade no longer spun, they took back the entire kit and refunded me my original purchase price.

Yes it stalls easy, annoyingly so, but i certainly worked it hard at home. Was well worth it when used appropriately.

Its worth spending more on a stronger bigger unit, but at this price..

Now i have the 185mm AEG Fusion, its quite good. Problem being, no easy exchange etc, has to be sent for repair etc.

  • Agree this thing stalls more than my old 180sx with HD clutch just after I got my license.

It’s ok for rare use with new / sharp blades but anything else you’ll be giving it the fingerblast over and over again. I give it credit for surviving my use last couple years thought, but committed to a better one after last few uses.
