    • You’re giving me hope, I ordered about the same time. Did you pay for the priority shipping by any chance?

      • In my case I didnt pay for priority shipping

    • I ordered on the 23 Oct too. Still waiting on it to be shipped. My delivery date is 'by 30 Nov'. Fingers crossed that the order doesn't get cancelled for whatever reason.

  • Ordererd the 24th still hasn't shipped. ETA 11th Nov - 1 Dec

I'm in the same boat. I followed up with the Amazon support, she told me that they're waiting for the stocks to arrive.

  • I just got the 6900xt delivered. Its definitely open box, anti static bag opened, protective film removed, no sign of a protective cap on the pcie connector that I saw on an unboxing video, video port caps removed and floating around in the box, found 2 cat hairs in there. There's no sign it's been used extensively like dust on the fans or cooling fins but I'm guessing it has been plugged in and turned on. Looks shiny and brand new. I'm inclined to keep it. What do you guys think?

    • Not good, you never know what's underneath the cooler atm and they never specified whether the card is a refurb or like-new. The best case scenario is that AUS Customs opened it, check the serial codes on the card and box, give amazon a call.

      • I don't think customs opened it because amazon tape on outer box was unbroken and the serial numbers match on box and card

      • also doesn't explain cat pubes

    • I would contact Amazon and see what they can do. If you have to return it, I would probably keep it.

  • So the plot thickens. I just checked the serial number on asus website and the cards warranty started 6 months ago. I'm not sure if the user started this or the products SN# being sold started the start of the warranty. I contacted amazon and they offered me a refund. I guess I will just use the card for a month run some benchmarks make sure its working as it should and try to get asus to reset the warranty based on my proof of purchase from amazon. If things dont work out ill try to get a refund from amazon

    • @Kenspacy Thought the warranty date on the ASUS website is always based on the serial/manufacturing date and is what will be used if you can’t provide a proof of purchase receipt. But then if you have your receipt the purchase date will be honoured. Could be wrong, but WD had a similar system.

      • yeah might be that

    • At least you can get a refund, but uncharacteristic of Amazon to do shady business like this. I’m guessing they had someone returning this card and listed as new in their system. I would run the 3D Mark timespy, usually pretty good test for the stability of it. Still kinda sucks since you’re expecting a brand new card

    • It seems like Amazon has no idea how to label returned items and you probably got a return card listed as a new card in their system, here's a good Reddit thread explaining what is going on. From now I will not buy any product on amazon unless I have to, I just hope I wont have issue with my GPU this time.

  • Ordered on the 23rd Oct. Was finally charged for it today and it has been shipped. Delivery is by the 29th Nov.

    • Mine is coming from San Bernardino, California. Fingers crossed it's not facemasks.

      • Mine was ordered on Nov 1st and I have just received the message that its shipped but no indication yet as to where it's coming from. Its being delivered via SEKO_INTL_EXPD_INJ. The tracking details reveal nothing yet. My expected delivery date is 25th Nov. Hopefully Amazon have imroved their act and we see all of us receive the actual product new in a sealed box.

        • Update on my order. Coming from OXNARD, CA, US. Package weight is 3.1kg with package size of 0.035 m3 which looks promising.

          • +1

@AAA-A: Where are you able to see this level of detail?

            • +2

@Plutonus: The service being used for transport has a tracking site where the details are presented.

The amazon tracker suggests that the,

"Package arrived at an Amazon facility
              San Bernardino, California US"
with the tracking number which I then loaded into https://track.omniparcel.com

The details shown include various details including item qty, size and weight.

              • @AAA-A: Thanks.

Mine's the same location but different weight and size: 2.6kg and 0.022 m3

              • +2

@AAA-A: Just plugged the tracking number from my 6900XT delivered on 1 Nov into this site and its stats are 2.7kg and 0.006 m3.

Oddly small size aside, it arrived in just a plasticy satchel (which wasn't exactly thrilling) but the card is foamed well in the box, so sure, but at this price sending internationally a proper shipping box would have been nice. But can't argue with the Amazon algorithm. …Not because it can't be wrong, just because it doesn't care.

My guess would be those of you in the 2kgs are getting satchels and those in 3kg lucked out with a shipping box.

                • @NGHTCRWLR: Thanks for sharing your experience. I'll just be hapy with receiving the genuine article packaged in a box or satchel. Seeing the weight being around what would be expected gives me some confidence.

        • Mine has arrived in Australia and cleared customs. All will be revealed next week when it's delivered!

          • @Plutonus: Mine has also cleared customs in NSW this morning. As I'm in VIC it may be late next week when I receive it. I take a video of the unboxing to collect evidence if I'm scammed. I suspect it will be ok

            • @AAA-A: Just informed it will be delivered today.

        • Same here, customs cleared. It's about to be a party.

          • +3

@zlan19: Card arrived and perfect. It was delivered in a standard card box all taped properly. On opening the box there was a second plane box being one from ASUS. Sealed with ASUS labelled tape. Then inside was a pristine ASUS 6900XT box :-) I'm very happy. I hope everyone else awaiting orders gets what is expected too and those who were scammed get their money back at a minimum.

            • @AAA-A: Great to hear. Mine was scheduled for delivery today as well but the driver obviously couldn't be bothered coming.

            • @AAA-A: I just received the card today. Looks brand new, box unopened. This card is BIG! Very happy, though.

              • @narmeian: Mine just arrived today.

All was good. An unopened 6900XT. Everything in perfect condition.

My only slight beef was that Amazon was too lazy to put bubble wrap inside their box.

Hopefully all the people that got scammed have been refunded.

  • Has anyone managed to receive their card with no problems?

  • +2

I just got my tracking number, priority shipping. Amazon estimates Dec 8th but Aramex says the 16th, hopefully I'll get it soon and update you guys on it.

    • Thanks, I would really appreciate that. I need to pay for mine within a few days but with the reports of getting masks and cat fur I'm hesitant and would rather avoid the hassle of a return.

      • +1

Got mine this morning, all perfect!

        • +1

Glad you did, hopefully anyone else awating delivery also received the genuine item. I'm yet to install mine as I'm building a new system in the coming weeks.

  • +1

Hi guys, received mine and I have been scammed. A really thrashed box of face masks has arrived??? I’m contacting Amazon now to get this rectified and a refund. Has this happened to anyone else?

    • +1

A couple of others have reported the same here. That's really concerning

    • Seems like Amazon needs to sort out their returns process:

      • YouTube: Amazon SCAMMED Me with a Fake NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 GPU, Jul 22
    • +1

Sorry to read you were scammed along with others. Seems to be a common message from many. My order is stil pending post. I chatted with the Amazon Help and the person suggested that they will not send customer returns when the item is described as "New" which this one was. Clearly some scam overall with the pink masks or customer returned card. Really dissapointing as all of us who have ordered did so trusting Amazon and although we may eventually be refunded, it will take time and effort.

      • Is your package coming from Texas? @NGHTCRWLR mentioned his GPU is from Texas and so far mine is showing the same. Sort of want more info on people who got scammed so I can piece something out.

        • +1

The comments in the above YouTube video suggests that it's most likely bad actors in the delivery pipeline who are tampering with the parcels rather than Amazon themselves (assuming that it's their policy that returns are never ever sold as new, even when they're un-opened)

  • Order placed 24/10 with priority shipping, shipped out 14/11 from Colorado. Praying I don't get scammed Prayge

  • Got scammed!

  • Received mine today.

Packed in a secure box. Inside is a brand new sealed 6900xt from asus.

Happy I got what I paid for unhappy that others were scammed.

  • Arrived in Sydney 2 weeks ago, had a few updates around town then none since 10 days ago. Aus Post say they will 'look into it' in 5 business days, and start investigating in 10 business days (they pushed back the delivery date a few times so it wasn't late technically - although Amazon showed estimated delivery on 21/11/22 after it arrived in Aus). What a fantastic delivery service… Hope nobody ran off with it

Would rather wait and see how it goes instead of get a refund from Amazon right now as Black Friday 'sales' were nowhere near this price

    • 'Typically, we would have expected you to have received this by now and can imagine it's been disappointing not to have seen any movement. We've assessed the situation with our delivery network and conducted internal searches.

Despite our best efforts and all possible checks being made, we’ve been unable to locate your parcel and will now consider it lost.

We had hoped to deliver you a happier outcome, and we’re sorry that we weren’t able to do so.

      What to do next

We’d recommend that you reach out to your sender to discuss any next steps. We trust that the sender would be the best equipped to offer a solution in line with their Terms and Conditions. If the sender is unable to assist you, please let us know.'

AusPost are now on my sh!t-list along with Toll

Sorry that this happened and the item is lost. Thats really poor on the part of Austpost. I've lost items in the past that never arrived but fortunately the value was low.

    • The same thing happened to me, my card was just sitting in Sydney for a whole week. Amazon changed the courier so I couldn't track it. Luckily it arrived after a little more than a week, amazon just send me an email telling me that my card will arrive that day. Hopefully you'll get yours alright.

  • Someone posted a review on the item listing in Amazon AU that indicates " What ASUS labelled an RX 6900 XT was in my case an RX 6800 XT…" I've not tried mine yet as I'm waiting on other items before the build. Masy be worth checking that the card recieved is actually a 6900xt via a hardware checking app.

    • GPU-Z recognised mine as an actual 6900xt.

Shame to hear that this deal was a bit hit and miss for some people. It was a decent price in hindsight.

It seems that Radeon 6000 and GeForce 30 series stock is starting to dwindle now, with little to no further discounts. I was really hoping for some more irresistible bargains during BF sales but they never materialised. Might have better luck on the used GPU market

  • Same boat. Ordered on the 23 Oct.
Contacted Amazon this morning and they dont even know where it is.
Someone somewhere has pulled a swifty with this deal.

Looks like a refund coming up, which sucks as now I have to find a new card somewhere.

    • Amazon AU has the same card in stock: https://www.amazon.com.au/ASUS-90YV0GE0-M0NM00-Asus-TUF-RX69…

Ask them to send you one of those as a replacement. I'm sure they'll try and pull the 'Amazon Global Store is a third party and not associated with Amazon' line, which is obviously farcical, but you never know your luck if you push back against that.

      • I tried that with the chat representative and they kept insisting that they could not do that due to it being an order from the Amazon Global Store and the Australian listing showing a different ASIN B08R81J62G vs B08BQX8VP3. No harm also trying that though
