What is different between pro and smart quick charger ?thanks

    • +2

one is for professionals, the other for smart people

  • I assume you can use the charger to charge non-Eneloop batteries?

  • Damn, this is exactly what I'm looking for… just need to work how to get membership.

    • Join g'day rewards caravan park membership. It goes half price a couple times a year, I think I paid $25 or $30

      • I signed up to rest superannuation, was free and I have access now.

      • Thanks been looking for many way to get in. And $50 for 2yrs ATM is not too bad.

If you have Jaycar nearby, look for the Vaata 4 aa battery + fast charger. $25 quick & reliable.

    • Oh I do! This is perfect, thank you!

      EDIT: no stock anywhere ahaha

      • Ah sorry. Tweed Heads NSW 2485 (near Gold Coast) apparently has stock, not sure if they can ship it to another store.

  • how do I get access to this?

  • I don’t quite get the fuss with batteries. It’s really only for a few remotes ?

    • And torches, bike lights, fairy lights, toys, vapes, other toys, scales.

Not everything has a built-in battery, also sometimes it's the preference.

    • Young Kids will keep their toy’s running whole night at the corner, and they will ask turn on in the morning.

  • remember LADDA may still be cheaper

    • But there isnt a LADDA smart charger

      • Mmm? "STENKOL" lists in it's datasheet:

        • Charge is terminated by individual minus or zero
delta voltage detection (-dV/dT or 0dV/dT).
        • Safety by separate safety timer and temperature
        sensors.
        • Non-rechargeable and damaged batteries
        detection.

          • @CodeXD: In my mind, a dumb charger is a fixed voltage source and a resistor to limit the current, relying on the battery chemistry to stop the charge. This only works for low charge rates, as the battery will overheat and vent at higher charge rates, typically anything above 0.1 C.

This Ikea charger lists a timer, delta V and delta T (temperature) techniques. The datasheet also lists 0.4A charge current for 1-2 AAA cells, which for a 750mAh cell is approx 0.54 C, so 2 hours ish charge time.

I'm struggling to understand how this is a dumb charger.

            • @allewell: there are some discussion here from previous deal, while it is better than the dumb overnight charger, it is not as good as a smarter charger?

Personally idk enough to argue, and TGG is a lot closer to me than ikea.

  • what is the easist way to get the commercial membership? only one ABN needed?

    • The super mentioned as well as MLC rewards.
