Hey Oz Bargain Community,

I'm so excited to announce the launch of our new featured rotating Single Origin coffee. Drum roll please…we've brought back our most requested SO region, Colombia. We've cupped (fancy coffee lingo for tasted) and test roasted several different Colombian coffees over the last few months searching for the right one. As you enjoyed the SO from this region so much last year and we really wanted to say thank you for your continued wonderful support, we've been working hard to level up the quality and clarity of flavour even more than last year. This Colombia Huila Single Origin we're launching today is so special I smile every time I have a cup. It's a double washed process (more info about this on the product page), resulting in an extremely clean, crisp and sweet coffee. To celebrate the launch of this magnificent SO we've got a fantastic 40% off deal for you, details below.

We're offering you a 40% discount off our newly launched outstanding Colombia Huila Single Origin, only $15.59 per 500g (usually $25.99 per 500g), and $27.59 per 1kg (usually $45.98 per 1kg), for orders placed until 01/11/2022. You can pick from the available green circle dispatch dates on the cart page. There's two or more available scheduled dispatch dates per week until the end of December currently available to reserve. Dispatch can happen for you as near as tomorrow (Friday) and as far as the last Friday in December. Once a given dispatch date is at full capacity the green circle will be removed and date will turn red, first in best dressed :)

      You can do it!

      • :)

    • Hey @Witchdoctr Thanks you so much for placing an order with us, especially when you're all stocked up, it's truly appreciated!

Unless you requested a dispatch of yesterday, feel free to send a reply message to your order confirmation email prior to your scheduled dispatch date, requesting a further delayed dispatch. If your fresh coffee has already left the building, then I'd recommend freezing when is arrives, until you're ready to drink it. Otherwise, just go wild and host a coffee party to get through the good stuff :)

  • Cambodia please

    • Columbia has better beans than Cambodia.

      • Now I want to sprinkle some Kampot blakc pepper into me coffee

    • +1

Hey @capslock janitor appreciate the suggestion/request!

At present we only source high quality Arabica coffee and my understanding is that the growing altitude in Cambodia is best suited to Robusta. Robusta coffee is not on the cards for us at present, however if that ever changes for some reason I promise we'll cup (fancy word for taste) a coffee from Cambodia :)

    Anything for instant coffee drinkers?

    • Hey @virhlpool appreciate you taking the time to reach out and check!

At present we only have Arabica coffee available in beans or pre-ground form. We don't currently sell instant coffee, however we can sell you an AeroPress or Plunger/French Press both of which make for an easy transition from instant to fresh coffee :)

  • The Brazil was excellent!

Very happy to hear we're in your good books, we'll keep working hard to stay there. Excited to see more orders come through the online door :)

Thoughts on freezing bags ? Ie put 100g into grinder hopper and then rest in freezer ?

I pull approx 1 or 2x 20gram shots per day… which means a 500 g bag may sit there for a while hence why I want to start freezing them?

    • What do you say @LimeBlueCoffee

      • Hey @Krazzyy appreciate you reaching out to get my 2 cents worth :)

Freezing does slow down oxidation, thus extending the freshness, but is best done with a sealed bag as opposed to opening and shutting a bag/taking it in and out of the freezer repeatedly. Your system will still work to some extent, it's just a bit better for the coffee to freeze a sealed bag and not re-freeze it once opened. Good news is based on your consumption I don't think you need to be fussing about freezing at all, as we dispatch our coffee super fresh and it looks like you'll get through your 500g in about two weeks, which means the coffee should still be nice and fresh when you finish the bag.

  • 1kg price becomes $31.19. Is there any error?

    • Choose 1kg bag as well

      • Spot on @Lunchguy appreciate the assist!

    • Hey @rzy6cn glad you reached out to check. I believe you have 2x500g selected as opposed to 1x1kg, on the product page under the "packaging" menu you can select between 500g bags and 1kg bags. 1x1kg bag is $27.59 :)

      • I checked out 2kg with 500g packaging, any chance i could change the packaging, this is confusing.

Hey @chezycsco thank you so much for placing an order with us, it really does mean so much!!!

If your order wasn't scheduled for dispatch today then it's an easy fix. Just send a reply message to your order confirmation email with your change request and we'll take care of the rest for you :)

Ordered on the last deal and despite being in the same day delivery zone in Melbourne, a week later and I still haven't received any coffee yet :/

    • Hey @downhillmtbr appreciate you taking the time to reach out!

Shucks that's no good. Yes you are correct that you are in the "same day delivery as dispatch" zone, however to further clarify your comment, you did not select this shipping option for your order, you selected the "no delivery company preference flat rate shipping" option AKA standard shipping.

I'll address this further via the DM you sent at roughly the same time as this comment. Fingers crossed for a speedy resolution :)

      • Thanks for the clarification. Didn't realise that was a different option that was required to be selected :)

        • No stress, easy to do in the haste of an online checkout. Just replied to your DM with a proposed resolution to get the good stuff safely in your hands ASAP :)

  • Looking forward to trying these, first time customer, just ordered a kilo.

Any recipe recommendations for Breville Oracle? The grinder generally doses ~21g on a double basket.

Hey @DiscoLegs11 thank you so much for placing your first order with us, it's truly appreciated and an opportunity we don't take for granted!

Appreciate you taking the time to ready out, for future reference we always put brew ratio recommendations on our bags :)

In my experience Oracle's generally dose ~22g, that said there can be some variation from one Oracle to another. Below I've put our brew ratio recommendations based on a 21g and 22g dose:

      • Black Espresso Guide 1 : 2 Ratio = 21-22 In : 42-44 Out : 27 Seconds or for milk based larger than 150-200ml of streamed/textured milk
      • Milk Based Guide 1 : 1 Ratio = 21-22 In : 21-22 Out : 18 Seconds 150-200ml of streamed/textured milk
  • 2kgs ordered. The previous Colombian SO from you guys is still my favourite coffee of all time.

    • Woohoo for being your "favourite coffee of all time!"

Thank you so much for that outstanding compliment and for placing another terrific order with us. Hold onto your hat because as you loved our previously featured Colombia SO, I think this one will absolutely knock your socks off :)

  • If sao paolo beans is more up my alley, i wouldnt like this as much since it's different flavour profile?

    • +1

Hey @OzFrugie appreciate the question, a little tricky to answer perfectly due to subjectivity of flavour preference. Just because you enjoyed our Brazil São Paulo Single Origin doesn't mean you wouldn't enjoy our Colombia Huila Single Origin. I believe these coffees are similar enough on our "Fruit 1 to Chocolate 10 Flavour Scale" that they are not necessarily mutually exclusive in terms of liking one relative to the other. However, these are unique to one another, so there is also a chance our Colombian So may not suit you as perfectly as our Brazil SO, up to you whether you'd like to take a shot at this SO :)

  • Hi OP,

I have receive the Shippit confirmation.

Was wondering how long it would roughly take for metro Melbourne as the comment who mentioned 2 weeks got me worried.

    • Hey @sushimaster thank you so much for your order, it's truly appreciated!

Not 100% sure which comment you're referring to, perhaps it's hiding in plain sight? Anyway please ignore any standard post ETD that you receive the day your order is dispatched, it's just the delivery company giving itself an easy target to achieve. Once your order has been processed through the first stage of the sorting facility, that update will give you a more accurate ETD. Metro Melbourne should likely be delivered in less than 1 business week, a decent amount of metro orders dispatched last week were delivered next business day, of course this is not always the case. For any future shipping questions related to a specific order it's best to send a reply message to your dispatch notification email, that way I can provide specific answers :)

  • Back on for another 2kg, really liking the Brazil in espresso right now and looking forward to more! Thanks for the tips on the last post!

    • Amazing, really appreciate you coming back to us for more fresh coffee, thank you so much for placing another order with us and sharing that terrific feedback!

Very happy to know my tips were helpful and that you're "really like g" our Brazil SO, hopefully you enjoy this Colombian SO even more :)

  • Sent you an email regarding my order, pretty sure I selected 31st as roast date but no shipping notification yet. Not sure if my expectations are too high or the anxiousness is getting to me as I'm down to my last 100g of beans.

    • Hey @bargainsniper got the email you sent a little while ago and I've just replied :)

Appreciate you reaching out. You're most certainly not setting your expectations too high, all orders with a selected dispatch date of 31st October were dispatch on time, as promised. The slight disconnect with this specific situation is that according to our system your order was not selected for dispatch on 31st October. One way or another we'll sort this ASAP and get the good stuff safely in your hands!

  • @LimeBlueCoffee which courier/shipping option do you recommend for Sydney Metro? My shipment was on Wed and has gone thru AusPost but says expected Wed 9 - Thur 10th… not sure if it's due to the floods but a week from Melb to Syd is terrible! (not directed at you - more the speed of the postal service)… I recall it was only $1-2 more for a specific courier option and want to know for next time so I can get my delivery faster :)

    • Appreciate you taking the time to reach out, nice questions always good to optimise for the future!

Floods have had an impact, especially with recent ones on the boarder, as standard freight from VIC to NSW travels by road, Express goes via plane. Please ignore the initial ETD, that's just a standard thing delivery companies send to give themselves easy targets to meet. The ETD after your order has been processed through the first sorting facility is a far better indication, even better is the ETD update after your item is processed in the first NSW sorting facility. Do you mean Sydney metro as in postcode 2000 or a suburb close to the Sydney CBD? Also are you in a house or apartment? If you send a reply message to your tracking or order confirmation email I'll be able to give you a more specific answer as is ideal delivery company for NSW deliveries is suburb specific :)
