    Kudos to you for trying to organise an event, but not sure whether people would be willing to attend an event organised by someone who's only made three comments in the past year since they've joined.

      Confirmed for Sat 12/11 @ Shabuhouse
      Limited to 40, so some may miss out or can't make that date.
      Different food - Japanese vs Ribs.

      Had a great time at Big Roddy's last year.
      Was "crowd control" at the door of our exclusive event! Letting in only those true Ozbargainers on the confirmed list!

      Will be back!

      Hey @dealbot, great question. No, this event is NOT to replace the one you linked. It's an alternative option to stickyfingers' event because the proposed date spread for their event might not work for everyone.

      It looks like you forgot to let people know that the final stage of the RSVP process includes a pre-payment of $5 into another user's bank account. This wasn't obvious until AFTER I'd followed the instructions above.

      Hi @xenobiotic, great question! The name doesn't matter for bank transfers in Australia so you can just put down my OzBargain username as the account name reference. I've also updated the survey to reflect this.

    I have a toddler who won't eat but the Mrs and I are coming so can't leave her behind. Is it ok to get my child or do I need to register her too?

      You and your Mrs will both need to RSVP on your own OzBargain accounts. You can bring your child but will need to order separately for them on the day at your own expense if they want anything more than the general nibbles that will be provided to share. In the words of @stickyfingers "Keep in mind this is a meetup that will be filled with loud, bargain-hunting, intoxicated adults." Hope that helps!

    I love this rib joint. Mind you last time I went, I ordered and waited around 40-50min and saw a million uber eats orders being picked up in the meantime. Such is life. See you guys there.
