  • Does it support PPS?

      What's that?

Between clicking pay and PayPal processing it, Baseus jacked the price up $8 :(

    • Same… let it go, save my wallet

      • For now… I'm still passively looking for a replacement for my recalled Kogan and this looked like the one, but I'll just hold out until the next bargain

  • Damn it. Only 14 persons had purchased in the last hour.

Am i understanding correctly that this 110W 20,000 maH would fully charge a standard HP spectre laptop - runs of 65w mains power, and im pretty sure battery would be well below 10,000 mah for a laptop surely? So could you fully charge a laptop off a power bank with fast PD charge these days? Never tried, but curious if the technology has come along.

    • Yup! I use a similar bank for charging my XPS away from mains power, works extremely well

      • so it managed to fast charge your laptop? I mean my hp spectre is 65w mains PD, and if i'm reading right this can do up to 100w from one usb c port correct?

Do you need to get a special usb c cable to support 65w PD charging though? Haven't got usb c to usb c cables, as its usually usb a (wall outlet) to usb c for phones, and for the laptops obviously they're direct power pack to usb c. Although my dell 4k monitors do usb c PD straight to the laptop's usb c, but of course cable was included so presumably high quality.

what is the 'effective' mah though? forgot the term for it, but 20,000 mah is the specified capacity, but actual usable capacity is?

edit: found my laptops battery specs: " 3-cell, 60 Wh Li-ion polymer"

Any idea how to translate that into a mah equivalent to compare how much said powerbank could cover?

  • Rated capacity is at 12000mah what does this mean?

    • Read this. found this online :

      https://powerbank20.com/en/actual-output-capacity/

So for those more electrical inclined, am i right in saying the total for this baseus is 74,000 mwh,

if one was to charge at 100w - the voltage would be 20v x 5a? if 65w im assuming laptops like hp spectres will charge at 20v x 3.25A?

so 74,000mwh / 20v the rated capacity of output is only 3,700 mah? assuming 100% energy efficiency? if >75% per the ad listing this reduces down to 2,775mah?

is this correct? becuase a 2,775 mah output wouldn't cover what i estimate the hp spectres battery to be about 60wh - circa 5,200 mah?

Seems awfully low from a 20,000 mah battery to convert only to 2,775mah, but then again i guess i never found a laptop charging battery pack for a reason with older tech. Keen to hear if i've calculated anything wrong?

edit: my calculations are apparently wrong in that there isn't just efficiency loss on the battery pack of 75%, but the phone or laptop would have 75-85% charging efficiency, so that's a double whammy hit. Looks like this battery pack wouldn't charge a laptop in full then? especially if the hp spectres a 65w charging, 5200 mah 60 wh battery… would only get a partial charge.

Great for phones, but i guess there's smaller battery packs for mobiles?

  • You are 100% right battery pack for laptop is a scam..

  • Has anyone got any experience with this supporting power passthrough charging without disruption when plugging/unplugging the power input?

  • For Surface Pro 6 (and below) users, is there any reason why I should keep this Batpower charger/battery combo instead?

I have a Surface Connect USB-C adapter + USB-C combo that works great with a 65W Zyron wall charger, and I imagine also would work with the Blade.

The mains output on the Batpower is up to 90W and capacity is 98Wh and 26800ma. A bit more than the Blade, but not work the bulk of all the different cables. Or is there a safety/reliability aspect to the bigger charging bricks I am not thinking of?

Is the Batpower basically obsolete now that powerbank tech has caught up?
