A website is just a public gateway to a read only database.
So basically; make your own call to the backend; since its a public facing and read only dataset, they've not bothered to strictly limit its access to their front ends IP.
You'll find most shopfronts can be leveraged in that way; because its not worth trying to secure totally public data.
