  • does this one support wifi connection?

    • It doesn't come with Wi-Fi module, but it does have a M.2 WLAN slot.

    • +1

A new USB wifi adapter costs around $10.

  • I am wondering where do eBay sellers got these machines from.

    • +4

Govt or other business upgrade cycle. Businesses closing down.

      • Yep, often via the various auction houses. Lurk on MGS computer auctions and you'll see the same people snap up all these older PCs.

    • +1

Windows 11 upgrades, businesses are dumping their old machines.

      2015

        Still 7 years old

        • +4

It’s true, it basically won’t open a word document or a web page hey………

        • Not much happen with Intel CPU in 5 out of those 7 years.

        • So not 12 like you initially claimed, I think we’ll take this PC over someone who can’t even count.

    • +1

Well. With Ebay plus it would cost you less than $160 delivered. What more would you expect?

    • +1

      I5 6500 released 2015.

      • Still 7 years old

        • +2

Some galah above said it was 12 years old.

        • What else do you expect for $154 ?

    • +1

      But it is cheap.

As usual, the specs are suspect.

Would they really put a 65W cpu in that small form?
I've bought from them a few times and happy, but there always seem to be contradictory cut & paste specs, leaving us guessing.

CPU is fine, I'm sure, and RAM is easily upgraded, if needed.

    • They do have 65W CPUs if you check the spec sheet.
      USFF have 35W CPUs.

      • Thanks, I was confusing the two forms.

  • Paid about 100 bucks more for the G4 version yesterday. Need to upgrade/replace my home server. lol

  • The CPU is a bit dated, you may experience lag if you browse multiple tabs

    • Can't really complain for the price. These CPUs are still decent for browsing or office-related tasks. That said, even mobile chips (especially from Apple, but even flagship Qualcomm's/Samsung's) benchmark better than these Intel Skylakes. So yeah.

  • Can anyone confirm how many 3.5 inch drives this can support? Looking to turn it into a NAS / HTPC.

    Thanks

    • +1

      2x 3.5" drive bay.
