Zeuslap P15A 15.6" FHD IPS Portable Monitor 60Hz US$106.09 (~A$166.28) Shipped @ Zeuslap Official AliExpress

230

On sale are these USB-C portable monitors with 3 different models on the listing. There's a 60Hz, 120Hz and 144Hz refresh rate version of the monitor with a comparison of the 3 here. If you're after better colours I recommend the 144Hz version.

These are great for travelling or working away from the office. I often use mine for meetings with clients, working at temporary desks and airport lounges. They're also a good option for the Nintendo Switch.

For display input there's a USB-C port and a Mini HDMI port with both a USB-C and Mini HDMI to HDMI cable included. There's dual speakers, 3.5mm audio jack and it can be powered via the second USB-C port with Power Delivery or via the Micro USB port.

    Zeuslap

Isn't that what happened to the manager of Taronga earlier today?

  • Can this be powered by one cable from a computer? USB c(power+video)?

    • All connection options are shown on the listing.
      No.

      • Why not? The Type C data option seems to indicate you can use it that way

        • No it doesn't.

      • Can you recommend one that does have power via USB c option?

        • I haven't looked into these things much. I don't have a need for one, just curious.

        • Ive got a Blitzwolf 4k and touchscreen one of these that i just connect with a single usb c, my ONLY issue with it is the cover/stand that it comes with is a bit flimsy, otherwise i bought a generic 15in matte screen protector for it and it is an excellent companion when traveling to client sites or if i need a second screen for presenting.

    • From the video at 0:39 seems like a MacBook is powering it off 1 cable? Wording is confusing though…

  • Got an HP one https://www.hp.com/in-en/shop/hp-elitedisplay-s14-14-inch-po… which was more expensive than these and smaller. It's a great option if you're coworking or at a remote place, they are roughly the same thickness as a tablet including the stand that doubles as a front screen cover. A little bit heavier than expected.

  • I hope one day a laptop or tablet can connect to a monitor or something like this wirelessly. Maybe not for gaming but just office work email browsing

Wireless display technologies have existed for years.

      • Yeah, high end Samsung's have it natively on dex

        • +1

oh yeah forgot dex haha but it still using their own interface and need it to be installed on pc.

and intel amd is not onboard yet. i was thinking more like bring my work laptop near a monitor, click a button and boom. just like connect to Bluetooth headset.(basically wireless hdmi)

@CyberMurning: I got it wrong, it's actually part of one ui and not dex, so no need to install anything on the Windows machine. Just turn it on the tab and connect on the windows machine.

I don't think this supports 120hz though from my testing, you'd still need to use something like superdisplay to take advantage of that.

@CyberMurning: You are describing Miracast which has been available for years. You take a PC near a compatible screen and project to it as if it'd a locally attached monitor.

  • The price is showing above 200 AUD. is there a code for that?
