Loewe Klang 1 Speakers $299 a Pair Delivered @ Rio Sound & Vision

160

Hey guys just came across this deal from RIO with the Loewe Klang 1 speakers on sale for $299 a pair (apparently were $1199 originally).

I've heard these before. Wouldn't pay $1200 for them but sound great for $299 a pair so thought I'd post on here.

PS sorry for the amateur post it's my first one.

Thanks

Whatever you do, do not buy the Sindel version.

  • Can’t find many reviews on this speaker

    $499

  • hard to find anything about this.
What are the specs, input/connectivity exactly

  • +2

Haven’t heard the Loewe name since Alex Encel and the Encel Stereo days of Swan Street Richmond.

  • Read the specs on their website.

No Bluetooth and standalone mode only works via Line in. Unless you pair this with an amp + the $900 sub it's really pointless to buy this.

They're just speakers - you wouldn't expect Bluetooth or an inbuilt amplifier on hifi speakers.

        these are effectively surrround speakers

also look at the audio performance… i guess no one here can read them

        135 - 20khz.

135hz is super high… like you get zero bass.. you need a sub and you need to cut it high

        81dB efficiency

you need a pretty damn powerful amp to get decent volume

if you were after decent bookshelf speakers there's good choice for $300, these are only for dorks who spend up big on a 7.2 loewe surround system

        • Hi I've heard them in their store and they are connected to their Loewe subwoofer and they actually sound powerful and quite detailed..the matching subwoofer has a built in amp to drive the speakers. You don't need much at all to power these a small amp is more than enough.
Anyone near their stores should go and hear if your in the market for a small great quality speaker pair

  • 16cm x 8cm x 8cm they tiny

Just hijacking your deal to make a complaing about RIO OP, sorry (every other deal they've made is closed).

Here's my timeline of dealing with them recently.

04/08: Purchased headphones from this deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/716858. Like many others, I recieved a faulty product. After days of non-response I made a complaint on their post. RIO still refuses to acknowledge this and told me it was my fault. Ask me to send them back at my own expense. Some random user created an account just to tell me they bought 5million of these and they allll fine (not sus at all). I give up because they refuse to asknowledge the fault and want me to pay for shipping. One person even ended up having to pay for shipping and didn't recieve a refund even though their unit was confirmed faulty.

24/08: I've had it with my faulty earphones, and their non-response so I leave a bad google review. They respond saying I'm free to send it back at my own expense. Thanks guys.

04/09: I decide I'm at least owed my money back and email asking for a refund. They tell me if I delete my bad review they'll sort it out for me (jeez). I delete my review and send them back the earpphones (they paid).

17/09: They confirm it's faulty and arrange a replacement that they have confirmed working.

07/10: I get an email from AusPost saying replacement couldn't be delivered, because they couldn't even manage to get my address right.

05/11: Over a month later I finally recieve me replacement. It is…shockingly….also faulty. With the exact same fault.

Please for the love of god make sure you never have to deal with them like I did.

    • Sorry to hear you have had to go through that. My experience with them has been very good. Bought a few things from them in the last couple of years with no issues, quick delivery etc.

I just recently had a problem with a 1 year old AV receive I had bought from them (not recognising Atmos speakers). They were very helpful, and very quick to respond. Got it sorted via advice from a series emails over 2 days. (factory reset solved it).

I've bought the same headphones and had no issues…and bought high end products and I've never had issues dealing with them. I don't believe any company would purposely sell products that are faulty and then on top resend faulty products.
Maybe your not charging them correctly? I know 1 pair of ausounds I bought and they were $29 … Took almost 1 week remaining in case to charge and now they work fine… The joys of lithium

    • Oh hello again. Yes you have said that previously. The pair i recieved were confirmed not faulty and sent to me fully charged by RIO. I'm absolutely not waiting another week to see if I'm "charging wrong". And I'm honestly tired of being told that. They have the same fault as my previous pair that was confirmed faulty.

    • Well would you look at that my totally-not-sockpuppeting-friend. 1 week of charging "correctly" later, nothing's changed. Almost like they're… faulty…….

But please do keep telling me how this is my fault

  • Anyone in W.A. would like them for $299.
    I bought but actually don’t need them…
