Bought "HEYMIX 20W PD Charger USB-C Power Adapter QC3.0 Charger AU-Plug SAA Certificated White" in 2021, stopped charging after a month. YMMV

did you get it replaced? apparently they have 1 year warranty. my 25w heymix (replica of samsung's 25w) still works fine (bought about 1-1.5years ago)

      • +1

Lol. By replica you mean a copy of the outer shell with cheap internals

      • +2

Honestly couldn't be bothered to get HEYMIX replacement which probably will fail again very soon, I just moved on to other reputable brand that is not constantly getting roasted by OzBargainers

        • yeah i came to the same conclusion

just spend $10 more and buy a belkin - it might not be gan but at least it's less likely to burn down the house

when it comes to these new style high output usb chargers it's best to stick with a reputable brand - saving with a cheap brand is likely to be a false economy here

100% agree. Bought a 3 pack and 2/3 is no longer working after a couple months.

  • mine worked ok,and this is great price for gan charger

but did hear bad stories about the likes of heymix and zyron

maybe just treat them as Kmart quality?

I would trust anker and zmi better, maybe also baseus to a lesser degree

My Zyron 65w charger is great but Zyron battery pack died after a few uses
Zyron were good to offer to replace it though

      • My Zyron 65w that i bought in June just stopped 2 days ago. I have contacted Zyron to get a replacement. It's a shame because i really like the charger.

  • Why is it so much cheaper than other that r $40+?

I have a HEYMIX 66W Gan Charger that I use to charge my Lenovo laptop. I've had it for over a year and it works well.

    • +1

My HEYMIX 66W GaN charger lasted less than a day before failing.

    • 66W? Sounds a bit Spinal Tap :)

    • Ditto, have 2 of the 65w, still working great. Stays cool when kept plugged in, no whine.

Doubles as a lovely little fireplace

    • from experience?

      • +6

Yep. Actually burnt myself on a Heymix charger when it started smoking and melting, and I had to unplug it quickly.

    • +6

It can double as a lovely big fireplace if you are not home

Have the 65W Gan Charger from HEYMIX and its been working well for the last 4 months. Used it for macbook and also it has 2 USB C port instead of 1.

    Pack of 2 for $21.49. = $10.745 ea. if you need 2.

      Double trouble!

Does it come with a USB cable?

    • Does the description mention one?

      • +3

Not that I could see, hence the question, super helpful reply though.

        • Just wondering if there was any ambiguity on the listing.

    • USB cable not included

      • Thanks

Might be just me but charger is one of the few items I definitely don't want to cheap out

  • +1

These definitely get hot. Also charging an iPhone 13 Pro killed my first (and last) one.

  • +1

How are there still zero negs on this deal 😅. Sorry OP not on you, but on the general (lack of) quality of Heymix.

  • I have had a couple of Heymix but they have not been hot nor burning…. maybe i am lucky?

    • +2

It's about risk. As an example, product recalls affect a small number of users.

  • Is there a way to unsubscribe from Heymix deals?

  • No 50% off coupon that I can find 🙁

  • +10

I can't understand why people still upvote this crap.
Save $50 on a charger and kill your $2000 device, or worst, get your house burnt down as a bonus.

    • +1

To many Ozbargainers, chargers are a black box. Quality to this set of users means you plug in a device and it charges. You see this reflected in comments section with "mine works."

      • It means you need containerization.

    • A lot of people upvote without having a clue on the item or deal or any intention of getting it. You can't just trust upvotes anymore and it's hard to neg as some people get pissed off if you do

    • Yes and that's why I did this.

  • I just had a Heymix (45w) charger do the magic smoke.
Good thing the house is protected by an RCD or it might be on fire.

    • It killed my Google tv :(

  • Sorry to hear that ☹️. Have you tried leaving it unplugged for awhile and tried powering it up again with a good charger?
