      • +25

        The arms cost $225 extra??

        • +5

Sorry at the moment we have the armless ones on sale, we don't sell parts sorry.

        • +1

no, only $112.50 for an arm.

      • Why are so many without arms?

  • +3

not shipping to WA I presume?

    • +2

      Your presumption is correct

  • Whats the condition of these chairs.. are they cleaned?

    • +1

    Any delivery to QLD?

    • +1

agree, how much del to QLD?

      • +1

keen to know about north Queensland total should stole one them from old work place

  • +5

The only thing I don't like about these chairs is I seem to lose pants buttons to them

    • +2

is it time to modernise your pants with zip?

      • +2

We're talking rear pockets. Would have to start an entirely new trend.

        • +14

          We're talking rear pockets.

          Free the cheek!

    • +5

Can confirm. The buttons on rear pant pockets like to get caught in the holes in the back of this chair when sitting down.

      • +15

I find pyjama pants with buttons on the back uncomfortable, anyway.

        • +1

My only issue with them is I find I can only get pockets in the trackies. Flanno pants are hit/miss with them and they're often tiny pockets.

        • Gluten Ur glutes

    • Try facing the other way when you sit down

Does anybody know of couriers that can pick these up and ship to northern QLD? Thanks.

    • E-go

      • +2

Thanks, but website says - We specialize in parcels, cartons and packaged items. We do not carry pre-assembled furniture

        • Damn, TIL. Thanks for letting me know.

I highly recommend these chairs. Comparable with the Aeron and some people prefer them.

I have tried LOTS of chairs.

    • +3

      I prefer Mirra to Aeron.

Can verify it is hungry and eats pocket buttons on back pockets.

It annoys the HECK out of me that these are so hard to get in WA. I want a second one. The East coast seems to have plenty and they are half or a third of the price.

      • +1

        I prefer Mirra to Aeron.

        Why?

        • Far more comfortable imho

          • +2

@justtoreply: They can cop a bit more abuse too. The pelicle (sp?) they use on the Aeron looks nicer, but it can burr or rip with bad treatment. The seat pan on the Mirra has the same issue but the back is basically indestructible.

            • @samuelalexmclean: The Mirra back is no good if you push/pull by the mesh rather than the nearby frame it'll break through the plastic where the bolts are (iirc.. I'm not near mine right now but had it fixed under warranty)

              • +1

@justtoreply: I pull mine around by its back constantly (low resistance shitty office industrial carpet) and have never had an issue! Maybe the manufacturing is inconsistent.

      • +1

Can verify it is hungry and eats pocket buttons on back pockets.

        I concur

    • +4

Can arms be purhcased a retro fitted? If so does anyone know how much they cost?

  • +9

Are there any chairs with a low fart-count?

    • +21

Maybe go in for a sniff test beforehand?

      • +1

I just realised it's in Melbourne, pickup only.

        • +7

I can sniff for you and let you know which one sniffs the best?

      • +6

We’re not all WA state MP’s

      • +8

I'm down for a sniff test beforehand. For the record, I'm not buying a chair.

  • +4

Is it available to be shipped in Sydney city?

    • +6

It possible I guess but a bit of a pain and probably only Circular Quay or Darling Harbour. Otherwise need road transport.

  • The website won’t load?

  • not loading , must be ozbargain'd

    • Just a lazy ~2000 clicks.

      • Free ozbargain performance testing for sure :)

  • Shipping will most likely kill the price for anyone interstate, great deal for locals.

    • +2

Yep. For those wanting it shipped, if you haven't tried to lift one of these before they're damn heavy (and bulky). Likely would be cost prohibitive to ship.

  • +2

Any chance you guys have stock of (used) Aeron seat frame size C? Broke mine because of high tension..

    • No aeron currently in stock sorry.

    • +1

      High tension!?, 🧐

Highly recommend hitting up your local secondhand office furniture store when looking for furniture. Heaps better for the environment to go for preowned and tbh the stuff is barely used sometimes.

One day I'll get a fabric cleaner vacuum thingy. But yeah I've seen chairs for $50 that are far more supportive and better than the $250 officeworks equiv and they also still look new. Some may be liquidation but other stuff is refitting. Seems crazy how much perfectly good stuff is thrown away in a refit

In Newcastle there's experienced office furniture, they do refits + selling secondhand stock so they have a lot of stuff. People probably have something similar in their location so I'd definitely recommend checking them out at least. Just a side note for people who don't think this ad applies to them.

    • +1

Anybody know of an equivalent in Brisbane at all?

      • +1

Seems to be a few like ABSOE Business Equipment.

From their reviews and from experience with the one in Newy, you kinda serve yourself. Try out the chairs, see what you like and then go buy it (one person buying a second-hand chair isn't a huge profit margin). Lots of the ABSOE reviews complain about delivery so might be best off picking stuff up yourself if you can.

    • Anyone suggest a place in Sydney?

  • +16

Are the chairs coming straight from the Twitter HO in Australia?

    • +10

500 bourke is an old NAB office.

    • too soon (popcorn)

    • HO? No, Chief Twit is back in LA.

  • +1

@OP, any offers ongoing/upcoming for the Aeron?

    • No aerons in stock sorry

  • Wonder how many fakes are sold online…

    • +1

Dear Customer i can assure you all our stock in Mirra1 are genuine.

      • How old are they since new?

        • +2

He's going to tell you they are all different and you should inspect yourself, I am sure at this price the age won't be so nice.

          • +1

@phoenixpan: In all fairness, I have bought from these guys (Haworth Zody) and the chairs were in good nick.

            • @Franc-T: I bought one which looks kinda rusty inside, but sits very nicely, I have no problem with age actually. Just telling him to keep the expectation reasonable :p

  • What sort of price would shipping be to Adelaide?

  • What's the price range for delivery to Sydney please?

  • +1

Which company is using Herman Miller chairs in their office?

    • +9

A lot of banks and government agencies

    • +4

betting companies who need to claim lots of tax deduction

      • +1

Normally furnitures are part of the rental package. Renter (companies) don't own the office furnitures.

    • +8

My wife's firm gives everyone Aerons (accounting firm). Treat staff well, staff work well.

    • +5

500 Collins St was a NAB office.

While NAB was doing everything to push people to go back to the office (to protect their loans on real estate on the inner city and drive up credit card usage, I imagine), they went ahead and downsized their office usage.

    • +3
