Dupli Color Touch Up Spray Paint 150g Various Colours $0.50 in-Store Only (Must Ask Staff for Price) @ Repco

70

Following yesterday's post and a tip from Rogsamsy, Repco have these Dupli Color spray cans on clearance at $7.00 and $4.00 according to the website, but some are only 50c in store. My local only had some cans for 50c, the rest were full price. It looks possible to Click and Collect the $4 and $7 cans.

Note: at my local store, shelf cans were not marked on clearance (i.e. they were all marked as $17). I had to speak with the staff member to get the clearance price.

  • 20% off for club members?? 40c a can!

    • %off typically excludes clearance lines.

  • None on clearance/all $16 at Preston (VIC).

    • The site indicates that Brunswick and Roxburgh Park have stock, if that helps. I had to speak with the staff member to get the clearance prices instore.

  • @OP do you mean you needed to ask the staff to scan the products to check the in-store price, or convince the staff to over-ride the scanned price?

The first one: ask the staff to scan the products to check the in-store price.

In my case, the staff knew they had items on clearance, but the clearance prices were not displayed on the shelf (this was the case at both Repco and Supercheap Auto, for me). At the Repco I visited, I was expecting to pay between $4 and $7 a can (as advertised on the website). I went up to the desk to check this, and the store clerk went 'out the back' and brought out a big box of cans. He scanned them, and found some were still selling at $17, while others were between 50c and $4. I ended up buying four cans at 50c.

It's not really my style to try convincing staff to over-ride the scanned price. If it's not scanning at the right price, I might mention that the website says otherwise, but I'm not going to push it. That said, I'm also not likely to purchase any of the items either, in that case.
