Men - What Hair Styling Products Do You Use?

Hey,

Just wondering if anyone had any recommendations for a natural hair styling product?

Schwarzkopf got2b Beach Matt Surfer Look Matt Paste is what I've used in the past
I ran out, they've changed it from yellow to silver/blue and $11+

I bought 6 years ago for $5-6each on sale.

It's like a matte paste, as in getting older my hair had thinned a little so I prefer the more volume natural looking medium hold pastes.

Just seeing if anything is better!

Thanks

Baxter of California Clay Pomade. I'll grab 2 when they're on sale for ~$25 and that'll last me the year.

Shave your head to a buzzcut and never worry about it again - I've never looked back

    Towel dry in 3 seconds.

I haven't washed or styled my hair in 20 years. I'd love to know how much time I've saved looking at myself in the mirror.

I already know I'm not much to look at in the mirror - I dont need reminders.

I use olive oil for a sheen, but I got a bald noggin….hehehe

    Water.

I use kevin murphy hair resort spray after I wash it, and his free hold when I style it. But the main thing I've learnt is that if you want more volume you should think about blow drying it first if you aren't already.

  • I use baby-oil after conditioning my luscious locks

Usually laying my head on a pillow for 8 hours styles my hair in the way I like it.

Sounds like my hair is the same as yours..
I use Osis “mess up” even tho I don’t mess it up much..it’s a soft/light mud/putty style product
Stores sell it for $28 a tub but can be had online for most like $14
    Light hold

    Hanz De Fuko Claymation

  • I use whatever. I add a few drops of oil to my hair to keep it shiny if it's feeling dry.

  • This stuff has insane hold, but good luck washing it off.

  • Awesome, thank you everyone.

I'm looking for medium hold only, I love that powder but it takes 5 washes to get out! It has a good gold, but hair looks natural as!

    • Love it, pain to wash out

  • After 8 hours, I'm surprised noone has linked a picture to the 'There's something about Mary' scene!

  • Get a water based pomade.
Was good enough in Red Dead 2, it's good enough for me.

  • flick water on my hair and run my fingers through it - good to go.

  • Headgear Precision Pomade from Coles.
Around $10 but often half price.

    • Is this a matt look..whats your hair like? Thick thin? Fine?

      • Yeah, Matt natural surfer look

It use to be thick as, but it's slowly thinning so I prefer a lighter medium hold

  • I am 55 and have fine dead straight hait which is even now thinning…but I kno my scalp is covered in scars and moles so am holding on to it for as long as possible..by any means.
I use nitro cement by dominate but itvis now only available online…about $10 a pot..lasts many months. As it is discontinued I stocked up while searching for a replacement. I recently bought this little green shaker bottle by Schwarzkopf..it's a powder that u sprinkle on hands rub together and work in. If u are buzzed on sides it will be ok on top..but doesnt really flatten sides much…more of a volumiser. Not sure how ling it will last. Only 5.95 at chemist warehouse when i bought it. Look for hair powder on cw website.

    • The powder doesn't last long, biggest issue is washing it out tho
