An iPhone 13 is faster than a 12 pro, but not by much. 14 pro of course would be fastest, but again at this point it doesn’t really matter.
Geekbench score, if raw speed is your bag:
13: 1696 single core/ 4503 multicore
12 pro: 1574 single core/ 3871 multicore
And for fun, pixel 7 pro: 1068 single core/ 3081 multicore.
Definitely 13 pro or pro max with big storage capacity (you can use it for longer, 13 pro series is a very classical all-rounder imo) if there is a good discount. 14 pro with an all-day display drives me to battery paranoia in no time. I would not recommend it practically unless you use it for photo/video production often and would like the advanced proRAW function, in that case your 14 pro/pm will need to be at least 256g, which is beyond 2k AUD without discount.

I got one today from OW online via phone call at excellent price. I am not sure where phone rep found pricing of $1414 and she price bit it and it costed me .95 x1414 - $1343.30. I am flying soon so esentially it will cost me $1343.3/1.1 - $1221.18 - Brand new Green Iphone pro 13 256GB. Not bad i guess. if lucky i might save extra $130 (10% in GCs which i am exploring options). I am in WA.

Garbage files means you keep adding more photos that may be not necessary and in the mean time you are searching the photos for image that you need and you cannot find it easily.
If you have less gb you be going to delete the photos that you may not need.

If there is no "Add to cart" green button, its gone. If there is, you can order for collect either online (cannot use gift cards) or in store. They will bring it to the store overnight.
There's one 13 Pro 512gb in stock however can only order to collect from that specific store.. I was unable to set to deliver to my local store for pickup or delivery (which came up OOS)

@ihfree: We don’t know anything about the state of the old phone being replaced. The refurb will be pristine. If it is a step too far for a newer model, it might be a reasonable option.
