Not sure how good of a deal this is but seems to be pretty decent for a QHD 240HZ OLED display.
I wasn't sure if the OLED screen was a typo in the title as I haven't seen the MSI Vector GP66 with an OLED screen before, however after chatting with an MWAVE customer support agent they assured me that it definitely has an OLED display.

Relevant examination of the 240Hz panel.

Dunno about the overall value though when 40 series laptops will kick off in 2-3 months.

      for 3 grand I would expect 13th gen CPU/40series GPU…

but I do want the display…

      • Cool. 4k. With that display. 5k.

        • Desktop 4080 prices are already set to drop about 20% due to the 7900XTX, if NVIDIA are smart they'll realise the 7900XT prices will drop shortly after and they should drop them even further.

      • Ah yes, 3 grand for a whole laptop, that has a 240Hz panel and mate wants a 40 series gpu included.

        stupid msi

    • I think it'll be longer then 2-3 months, took them like 8 months to get the new AMD 6000's cpu into laptops

      • AMD had to share their TSMC allocation between consoles, GPUs, APUs and CPUs. NVIDIA doesn't have those issues, and the shortages and crypto boom are done.

Assuming that mobile chip orders weren't as ridiculous as the desktop ones and there's no need for a further sell off, there'll be 40 series mobile info at CES, with a launch shortly after.

  • Damn this is a beast

I have the GE67HX with OLED. Couldn't see myself going back to LED.

Especially if you play FPS games.

  • Not a great deal imo. I bought Lenovo Legion 5i pro Gen 7 in August with similar specs except i got 32gb ram and win 11 Pro for $3049 plus 3 year warranty (using .edu.au email) and phoning 13LENOVO to request their best price before purchasing.

Similar to this link for $2899 currently but I had 1tb ssd (cheaper to replace your own tho) https://www.lenovo.com/au/en/p/laptops/legion-laptops/legion-5-series/legion-5i-pro-gen-7-(16-inch-intel)/82rf003uau?orgRef=https%253A%252F%252Fwww.google.com.au%252F

    • I agree it's not the best deal for the specs, however I reckon the OLED screen definitely adds some value to it.
